Different topic, with the success of the L in stock, what parts are needed to go in reverse from an Evo. A fellow racer was helping me get my feet wet with another car who had the evo and the L at one time. He was saying that for stock, the L is a beast. I love options as much as the next guy so I'm weighing them out.

TIA
thanks for the feedback. i was also thinking of trying to produce a matrix containing all parts and kit types to show if it was included with kit, or a valid option.

the parts difference between L and Evo is listed here--

"Analysis of A700 Evo USA SPEC vs A700L USA SPEC"

basically it is-
1. additional am01-1
2. c02 top deck
3. st09
4. am11

maybe a bearing or screw too...

Default sd2 at20-6

Installed sd2 today and i really was suprised that st50 is also made of steel, thought it would be made out of composite...Cannot wait tro try it out, but also waiting for AT20-6( for usage with sd1 rubber dampening) because i liked the feel of sd1 and it saved spurs..., has anyone tried the combination of the 2 dampening systems yet? Awesomatix support told me it will be released in some weeks..

2015 part inventories updated at shop.awesomatixusa.com now.
Other parts partially added into inventory. More on this tomorrow.

Initial thoughts about the first A700 Evo II kits-
  • Shocks come pre-built!
  • SPR02 come already inserted into the shocks
  • Set screws holding the SPR02 must be added during the kit build!
  • "Soft" SPR01S springs still packaged instead of "Standard" SPR01
  • New style carbon arms feel stiffer
  • MM2 upgrade kit packaged nicely
  • New chassis is mega narrow
  • New P42 look like a simple idea to keep the swaybar centered

Back to packing boxes!

With the shocks being prebuilt it might be an idea to offer the exact shock oil.

In this way it will be possible to accurately mimic future team/factory setups.

And I guess a new box in the set up sheet for oil brand.

A few years ago I found an independent test of shock oils which concluded that Kyosho oils were almost exactly the cst rating stated. Some other brands were far from the stated cst viscosity.
