you still have to fine tune the dampering and spring after you changed oil...
I thought it was the 600cst in the old D6

Which chassis does not fit the new motor mount? I have the L, i was told that my battery supports won't fit? So i need to go with A700-C01L2?

New motor mount has four flex modes
At Mode 3 and Mode 4 the using of AM69 battery holder is not important and new motor mount can be installed without AM69 on C01, C01L, C01EX, C01AL and C01AL-H chassis also.
You can also use new motor mount even at Mode 1 and Mode 2 without AM69 on these chassis with losing of few percents of flex symmetry.
Furthermore you can install AM69 even on C01, C01L and C01EX chassis and get all flex modes after very simple filing of the chassis edge under AM69 leg.

I have to add the next:

Mode 1 is the softest and Mode 4 is the stiffest.

Our Team drivers use only Mode 2 and Mode 3 now and it seems a sufficient choice at the most conditions.

C01AL-S2 chassis and new C01L2 carbon chassis - all four modes are possible.
C01AL -S chassis - Mode 1,2,3 are possible.

C01, C01L, C01EX, C01AL and C01AL-H chassis - Mode 1,2,3 are possible but without AM69 Battery Support installation.

Yes, after very simple filing of the chassis edge under AM69 leg you can install AM69 even on C01, C01L and C01EX chassis and get pure Mode 1 and Mode 2 also.

Please see the picture of cutout under AM69 battery support for C01L chassis.

So it looks like the tab supports the outside edge of the battery, so it does not 'clamp' to the chassis anymore at the rear. Has the front battery support changed as well?

Would be interesting to see a central spine that supported both the battery on the right and an integrated servo/receiver/ speed control mount on the left. For the ultimate in symmetry.

Also, would it be possible to put together a parts list of everything required to update an original EVO to the new spec.?

On a side note, a scaled down version of your front end with a transverse mono leaf spring and micro rotary dampers would be killer on a 12th scale....

Front battery holder is standard. So the battery lays down on three points: two front end points (the line) and one rear point ( AM69 floating tab support). So the battery is half-floating with MM2 motor mount.

List of parts for original Evo full updating:

1. D2 dampers ( 4 dampers are needed).
2. MM2 Evo II Motor mount set.
3. C01AL-S2 or C01L2 chassis - desirable.
4. AM33-5 stiffener plus AM49-3 short FFG Tower.
For C01L2 carbon chassis the using of AM33-* or AM30-* stiffeners are desirable but not so obligatory as for alloy chassis.
5. AM24 Servo holder or Awesomatix AS-700L servo in case of you still don't have it.
6. GD2 diff in case of you still don't have it.
7. SPR01 springs in case of you still don't have it.
8. P42 Sway bar stopper set - recommended but not obligatory.

Thank you, Oleg.

I see you say to get the SPR01, are you finding the stiffer springs desirable with the new chassis/dampers as apposed to the 's' springs?

The P42 sway bar limiters, I am not familiar with these, please explain their use and purpose.

The new chassis is narrower than the sway bars, the P42 helps keeps them centered on the chassis. This is my guess anyways.

if folks have suggestions on better ways to share this info please speak up. the racerlog wiki pg is close, but not perfect. the AwesomatixUSA parts bundles try to help folks decide things too.

for 2015 i think the parts at AwesomatixUSA will get "categorized" by a given car model "standard parts" and "optional parts". the existing Awesomatix site lumps a lot of the new stuff under "optional parts".
I agree. It's pretty standard website layout at this point to be able to click on a given kit an get its parts break down via a link. This change alone would give a big bump to the ease of use category for the site.

Different topic, with the success of the L in stock, what parts are needed to go in reverse from an Evo. A fellow racer was helping me get my feet wet with another car who had the evo and the L at one time. He was saying that for stock, the L is a beast. I love options as much as the next guy so I'm weighing them out.

TIA
