[WRONG --- 113 isn't available]
i think lee speed 84p gears will give you the best ratio.
113/50 * 2.08 = 4.7008
[/WRONG]

for 64p gears-
86/38 * 2.08 = 4.7073

Talking

For 48p gears : 61t spur/ 27t pinion = 4.7000fdr + durability..

Hey guys,

In the summer, i will race on medium grip asphalt, but during the winter, it's on carpet high grip CRC carpet with Sweep 28s.

I have an A700L - non evo, and i have the long top arms and the top deck with not much flex.

The top guys with this chassis are using the short arms, but with more flex from the top plate being setup with ST09s.

I was looking at the setup sheets on PetitRC and i noticed for Carpet, most of the setups have the long arms.

How does the long arms with a stiff top deck (no cut outs) vs the short arms with a soft top deck (all cut outs...cut) compare? Let say the rest of the cars settings are the same but the arms and top deck. How does the cars handling get affected? I know that Flex is good for low grip, but this seems counter intuitive to me...

i think you're trying to mix two different types of settings. ignore the top deck for now.

i think the major difference amount the setups are--
1) short upper links + soft suspension
2) longer upper links + stiffer suspension

the longer link causes the car to roll 'deeper'/further. shorter links limit the roll.

softer suspension causes roll. stiffer suspension limits roll.

now top decks--
i never ran the c02 top deck with st09 collars (other than the center ones). when i tried it back to back, the stiff/solid top deck was usually better on carpet.

on asphalt or super low grip, the T-cut top deck is best.

I haven't tested yet. Plan on running them at Worlds and IIC. Will set Saturday on carpet.

Hey guys quick question my carpet season is about to start, I'm running the evo with the raceberry soft chassis. I have the am-33 on the car right now but don't know how it will handle. Will I need a top deck also, or should I just ditch the am -33 and just go with a top deck?

I would try the am33 with all the screws in it at first, and then add a topdeck if it needs to be stiffer.

Hey
In germany we drive the raceberry soft chassis v2.1 with topdeck and optional am30-5 or am33-5... With am33 or 30 you have more precision for wide cor ers but in little corner you lose a lot of roll speed ...

And we drive am06- m with xray balls

Thanks guys I'll try am-33 first, then try top deck, one last question do you all suggest 90c 6000 mah, or 90c 7600 mah pack for more equal weight balance ?
