Have had them on for 2 weeks now, if you don't tighten them with a wrench they will loosen. A very small amount of loctite will solve that.

About the ST17-1-S, I lost 2 dogbones and one ST38 last time I hit the track (and first time I used the ST17-1-S)!
So the blue loctite is ABSOLUTELY useful, because even when you tighten them with two wrenches, they can loosen (tested and approved) =/

Default IIC Build-up

Starting final build-up on one of my chassis for IIC. I'll be running in the stock and spec-gt classes and I tend to like a smoother car rather than charge and swerve. Is the setup sheet from Larry Fairtrace at the 2014 'birds my best starting point?

Larry's setups are usually a very good start.

For IIC .. I think racers are going to want the at21s "low balls" without shims direct to the chassis plate.

A lot of those will be ordered tomorrow...

Gd1 uses a one piece st07
Gd1 has an option to use st23 and st26 to replace st07

Gd2 uses the st23

Default First Indoor Test

Hi @ all,

did my first indoor test today on our Indoor Track with brand new Carpet. We decided to use the original ETS Carpet which will be used on several Events in the upcoming season. So we have now perfect test conditions

For test today i prepaired 2 cars with same Setup. Only difference was the Chassis. One car with CO1AL and one with the new soft C01AL-S.
I used my ETS MuchMore 13,5T Zero Boost combo and the new RIDE ETS Tires for the 2014/2015 season (#26032)

And i can say I like the new soft C01AL-S more! It offers more steering and at same time better overall handling. Faster direction changes and more overall grip. Lap times were also 2/10 faster and more consistent due the easyer handling with this chassis compared to the C01AL.
I used both chassis with AM30-5. Tested both with 3 screws (front-middle-rear) and with only one in middle. Personally i like it more with 3 screws. Its not so angry on the entry of the corners. Also more stable and consistent during the turns. With only 1 screw it had to aggressiv steering action for me.
But this is a personal thing of the driving style.
So the new C01AL-S performs also very very well on Carpet

Also we tested with different wheelhub combinations. Started with front and rear AM06S like we used in the past and ended with AM06S in front and AM06M. It was awesome how the car performed with this combination. The car was much easyer and smooth to drive. It gave us much better steering feeling and at same point more stable car under throttle action.
Also we can feel a better balanced handling than with the AM06S in front and rear which was a bit more tail-heavy.

I recommend you to test it by yourselfe during your next tests ;-)

Attached the setup here and a picture of our new Carpet Track (Size 28x11m)

With the C01Al-S chassis is the center screw hole on the AM08-1 simply not used anymore?

correct!
the front end has been shortened by 1.1mm, and the rear end by 0.8mm.

i ran a Evo + c01al-s/am33-5/am49-3/c21-2 + at21s on saturday in 13.5 and 17.5 blinky tc. we club raced solaris medium tires, and then practiced w/ gravity rc carpet tires. after a bit of tuning, the car showed A LOT of promise. it was just as fast/stable as Larry's c01al/am30-1/c21 + at21s car.

my setup now available at http://www.awesomatixusa.com/p/setup-sheets.html

is it also possible to change rear outer toe link's to p13-4 & st24 combo ? if I change outer side do I also need to change the inner ones as well to keep the link lenght same as before? I had a problem with popping off during last race, do you recommend or shall I keep the stock closed one and try not to hit anywhere? thanks.
