The FFG's left right action presses on the sides of the bottom P10, dislodging it it is not secured properly. The alleviate the excessive pressure from the top plate pressing on the P10, add 0.3mm shims on all four corners. I added a layer of elec tape on the bearing holder on the top side to take up the space created by the shims. Now the bottom P10 stays in place securely, and the side to side action should not pop them open.

I'm very new for A700 Evo.
Very impressive feeling...
Please suggest the Clearance of the gears,
I don't know when should I add more shim.
And what kind of grease should be used?
Thank you.

There should be a little clearance, not much, like the gear mesh between your spur/pinion.
I never use grease on the gears.
Hope it helps

Hello im thinking of getting the a700 evo as they look absolutly brilliant and an engineering master piece. I was wondering could anyone tell me what there like on the track and how awkward are the dampers to set up.

They are quite nimble on the track and the dampers are easier to set up than regular shocks, also easier and much quicker to make spring and oil adjustments.

Happy days, also what is the lowest turn motor that can be used with the ffg?

You can use every 540 motor available on the market without any problems, from 2.5T like Bert to 21.5T and higher

Questions??

Since the instruction manual didn't states the size of the bearing use in the A700 Evo kits

Does anyone know what are their size and quantity for each?

Are the bearing for A700EVO Ceramic ?

thanks in Advance

Hi,

I was at the ETS Race the weekend, an had a chat to some of the Team driver's there.
In Stock Mike Gosvig ran an nearly out of the box car with only few tuning parts. Same to Oliver Franke who ran the bearing modification on the FFG. Mad Max Mächler was runing his custom carbon chassis (look a few pages back where he posted pictures) with the top deck.
Mike ran a very soft Setup as he told me.
Freddy was runing the Raceberry Chassis with the FBC front an rear.
Oleg who was also there to support the Team Driver's an all other Awesomatix driver's will certanly post the setup's very soon.
All four had the new AM06M hubs on the car's.

Thanks for the info Claude.

In my own testing I've been trying am06m in two different configs - 1) only in the rear; 2) all four corners.

I believe am06m in the rear are better -- at least for me. It has a better feel without impacting my lap times.

Anyone?

What is the maximum amount of steering throw you can get? Full lock - what steering rack and steering arm are you using?
