Make sure your plastic diff covers are not rubbing on the gears...

Hello guys,

I'm still new with the a700l u.s spec, and have some gearing questions. The track I run on is 73x40 it's tight with some 180's. I do not fell that it is coming out of the turn as hard as it can. I'm running a EA killshot with 12.5 rotor 80 spur and 47 pinion.

I want to get more rip out of the corners, should I go with a smaller spur? like 75 or 77?

No, you would want a bigger spur gear, or smaller pinion. I ran 80/44 on a d3.5 on carpet tracks that are bigger than yours so I suspect you are overgeared.

+1 on the overgearing theory. If you're on a track with a lot of slow corners, you might want to try a pinion in the 40/41 range and work your way up if needed.

I think a lot of us use the stock servo mount to attach the fan to the motor...seems to work very well.

Your running a 3.5ish FDR which is high for a tight layout on a track that size. Try a 44 or 45 pinion. Make sure your timing is set appropriately as well.

Thanks for the help guy's,I'm going to have a test day Saturday to get it locked in.

p.s. Heat in the motor is only getting to 130 to 135 after 6 min., so its not getting worked to hard. But will try a lower pinion before going to crazy.

I am ready to order my Awesomatix EVO US spec. I would like to know what chassis is the best for 17,5 on med-high grip carpet: Stock-Alloy-Raceberry ???

Did i need the top deck?

Hey hanulec any ideas on when the raceberry chassis will be available? I'd like to have one before reedy race.

I prefer the aluminum chassis for carpet. I do not use a topdeck, but some guys do, its more of a personal preference.

+1 to Mikes post. I feel the aluminum CA01AL chassis offers the best corner speed option on carpet. Don't forget to order the chassis stiffener brace, AM30-1 when ordering the chassis as well as AM24! Also its nice to get an extra pack of P06-1 so both chassis can be setup.

Hi all,
I've been testing my Evo on a big asphalt track.
I'm using the standard setup for the Evo, which is designed for carpet.
I don't have enough steering off power and my rear end gets loose every time I hit the brakes or get out of the corners. The only difference to the standard setup is my diff oil. I'm running 1000cst.
I'm running non-boosted 10.5 and a Speed6 shell.
Can anybody please give me hints to get the car dialed in? It's really undriveable at the moment
