Klingforth family killing it in TC. Scrimo, last year's 2nd place in 17.5 is right there with them. Shaft cars rule the day in Omaha if they can keep it clean. It's been called a "cheater car" more than once at the event. Everybody is running the L except Kyle (TQ) in 13.5. In our testing at home, the L was better on these awful tires.

The tires are a problem. Sounds like it's making the event miserable for the rubber folks. It's a shame that a brand could go from one end of the spectrum to the other in one batch. Unforgivable, really.

I too hear warmers are being used in mod. And grip has been coming up slowly.

It's cool to see 3 of the guys I race against every week in the top 5 (including both TQ's) at nats. All of them have become significantly faster since switching to the Awesomatix. Anybody that doesn't think the car makes you faster at this point is in denial. I went from almost never losing to Brent and Kyle to almost never beating them. And I'm running the Awesomatix as well. There may be no greater success story in RC than what those two have accomplished since switching. It's marvelous.

Not an issue with the carbon chassis.

I still am as well

My post above was around 1:30 this afternoon.
That was after about an hour of redo'n & retrying the ffg's install.
Now I'm back after about another 2 hours of repositioning and retightening while pushing this & the other...taking it all apart a few times; having my wife hold this while I do the other .....I'm done trying. I haven't rolled the tube on my glass yet to see if that's a potential issue. Total its been about 3 hours and frustration has long set in.

Onwards to GW2
I sorted mine by pulling the front gearbox forwards slightly on the carbon tube. From the pics you post it looks like you might have the opposite problem as I cannot see a gap between the gearbox and bulkhead at the front. I suggest checking the carbon rod is not too long (should be 168.5mm) and making sure it is fully inserted both ends.

I found mine was entirely bound up again today after racing yesterday. The diff cover had popped open and jammed it all up, easy fix though.

Knudtson almost took TQ from Lemieux he only ended up 4 tenths back. Cyril and Danilchik also made the Mod main. Should be a good one.

@ 2014 ROAR Carpet Nats -- best luck to the team -- here are the Awesomatix drivers in the show(s). I 'think' we have more cars than any other brand in 17.5 and 13.5. If not -- it is sure close to it.

I hope racing starts soon -- i hear the race director tell all of the racers the rules for the mains right now. http://live.liverc.com/63-ROAR_Carpe...oad_Nationals/

Default FFG - Centering Tip

Here is a very important tip when trying to keep the FFG system centered.

To keep it centered you adjust it from the screws that hold it on the rear bulkhead. But what if the rear bulkhead is not sitting perfectly straight.
I've found out that although it is secured with countersunk screws which usually limit the amount of movement allowed, there is still some movement in the rear bulkhead.
In this respect I strongly suggest to loosen a bit the screws that hold the bulkhead on the chassis and twist it left / right to see how much movement there is and where it is best centered. Then fasten the screws tightly.

I also had experienced the same problem where it had more movement on one side and almost no movement to the other.
Because this issue appeared only after I switched from the carbon chassis to the aluminum chassis I was certain that the system was perfectly functional and it was a matter of assembly issue. I just had to locate where I had made an error and it turned out the rear bulkhead was slightly twisted to the right.

Please check yours.

Kyle wrenches and sets up his own cars. I think that's pretty neat. You don't really see that these days from the fast kids on their way up.

It's also cool that his dad got 2nd!

Kody keeps Paul very honest on the way to a well earned 2nd place. the tap with 9s left on the clock made the win look bigger than it was.

Kyle lead much of 13.5 A-1 but finishes 2nd after a few taps. that race was very mess throughout the pack. leaders had to drive through the pack twice -- very impressive.
