Ran my Evo in 17.5 on carpet yesterday. Even for slower motors, it makes a big difference in how smooth it is. It is simply amazing. Cant wait to be able to run it in mod.
Like FJ said, older setups are a good place to start, just be sure to add the extra 1.5mm shims on the front upper links, and try to find one with the tires you will be using

it depends. there is what i remember -- off the top of my head.
there are three non-Evo upper camber link options, so when using the FFG instead--
1. am01-1 (bulkheads) ->> and remember, the front front doesn't have a 2mm top deck on it ---- ADJUST by 1.5mm
2. am19 --- ADJUST by 0.3mm (or 0.5mm)
3. am18-1 --- NOT SURE -- i don't run am18, but i assume adjust by 3.5mm

PLEASE NOTE - at Snowbirds, a few of us had issues w/ our FFG and having the front drive axle (st13) pop out of the spool because we were putting 1mm of shim under the AM06S (between the lower ball). This would cause issues when you say drill the chicane at full speed . This happened a few times to me before I said --- I guess I cannot 'just not hit' those boards. (this ended a few of my 13.5t tc runs..)
The alternative Oleg suggested was to add the 1mm shim under the carbon arm balls (at21/at21s) instead of under the AM06.

Still working on setups. New parts plus getting used to the team powers tires means there is still room for improvement before I put something out with my name on it

Recommendations to users of FFG based on the several latest crash tests:
#1. Use P10 covers on the front FFG gearbox as the measure against the outdrives popping out and the front G03 gear damage.
or
#2. Insert ~2,7x11,4mm plastic or metal pins (cutted pieces of plastic tube or rod for example) in the central axial holes of ST07 on your AT03 spool.
or
#3. Use #1 and #2 together for maximum protection.
All these measures restrict the excessive torsion twisting of FFG gearbox at crashes.
#4. As the additional measure please use the suspension up travel limiters (upstops) on the front P12 sway bar holders. 14mm upstop is the good limit for this.

No, you can drive it now. These are just precautions to take, especially if you run shims under the am06/am06s (like I like to do), to keep to dogbone ends from coming out of the outdrives if you hit something. I ran mine without any of these this past weekend with no issues, but I didnt run any shims under the am06/am06s.

No, you can drive it now. These are just precautions to take, especially if you run shims under the am06/am06s (like I like to do), to keep to dogbone ends from coming out of the outdrives if you hit something. I ran mine without any of these this past weekend with no issues, but I didnt run any shims under the am06/am06s.
