Morning guys,

They will only fit into the GD2! Please note this.

They work fine and the small difference compared with the plastic gears is the weight.
The car is a little bit easier to drive but has also less on power steering. It's another good setup thing to play with.
Plastic gears: more steering and little less rear traction
Metall gears: less steering, very easy to drive

I recommend to use #2000-#3000 oil inside.

The discussion tonight is whether or not 17.5 sedan needs to be split into shaft and belt classes, kinda like we did with boosted and blinky.

The Evo was really good tonight in club racing. The grip came up more than usual and traction roll became a real problem for me. I imagine a softer shock package might help. I tried less front camber and a wider front and still flipped twice in the main with the lead. With Sweeps, though, it sure seems like glue is the only real fix.

Talking

For traction rolling issues low roll Centers + softer springs + widest track width + gluing tire edges Work everytime !!!!

When my car traction rolls I always use, before I make any setup change, super glue on the front tire sidewalls.
Setup changes are always bad as you must do a compromise somewhere which results most time in slower laptimes. You don't want to loose steering, rear traction etc so stay with the setup and try supre glue on the sidewall.
Also a front gear/ ball diff will help against traction roll.

US spec comes with the am06s short hubs. Regular L kit comes with am06. Most of us run the am06s hubs. Kit comes with a spool and the sway bar sets. If you plan on cutting the topdeck getting a spare one may be good, Otherwise you don't need it. I run a non cut topdeck for carpet.

I would get the metal gears for the gear diff and the stiff front bumper, as well as some common spares and go from there

Is there an upgrade kit that you can get to take the original released A700 to current spec? I might have access to an unbuilt A700 kit at a very good price so keen to know if there is a kit or what the list is of parts that must be replaced and are good to replace. Thanks
