Thanks JayBee for letting me wheel you Scale Spec car last weekend. This car was an older A700 but was super dialed. It was .4 tenths faster on fast lap and averaged about .3 tenths faster per lap then any car that has raced Scale Spec on our track. Simply amazing. HPI D compound VTA treads, Camaro ZL1 and Novak 25.5 motor.

Here's a video, (Sorry to Jeff a fellow A700 driver in the Corvette.)

No problem buddy . I can't believe how great the car has gotten since the TZGP.

Got my hands on the alu chassis for the first time today. Mike Gee and Mike Hanulec have been running them with different results. I have driven Mike Gee's car with the chassis and it is very direct to drive and the steering is very fast. I hope to run the car a few times this weekend and give it a proper test on the 11th. For now here are some pictures of it.

Are there any tricks to getting the P16 to lock down tight on the axle? I have one drive shaft that has about 1mm of side to side play on the inside bearing. I've tried replacing the P16 and it is still there. I'm assuming that I just don't have it locked down tight enough and that's why the play is there. I used a 5mm nut driver to get them installed initially and 3 of the axles are nice and tight.

Fit a wheel onto that axle, it will pull everything tight together then check for slop.

The slop is there with a wheel tightened also.

Still 1mm? That's a lot. I had a little slop so shimmed with 0.1mm but nothing like 1mm. There must be something else but I can't think what it could be without the car in my hands. I can only suggest dismantling it and reassembling, perhaps something will come to light.

It took me 4 laps to go faster with my Evo tonight than I've gone in a month with the T4'14 on this layout in 17.5. The 4th lap on a brand new car.

Anybody that can't see the way things are changing in touring car racing isn't paying attention.
