Hes not measuring travel over ride height, its the height of the arm from the setup board with the car sitting flat on the board (no tires)

He is saying he did the board method, but after he checked the ORH measurement and that was 4mm and 6mm. That does seem very high vs the 2mm standard range most run for droop.

Ah.. Thats why I always just measure travel over ride height, less confusion.. larrys settings should equate to something like 1.5mm over in the front and 2mm over in the rear. Maybe 2/2.5.

i don't have a car setup that way right now to measure over ride height. i've been working on some new setups. i'll see Larry tomorrow @ Horsham --- i can remeasure then if he doesn't respond before then...

The tire diameter used will effect this. So if you are not running the same tires as the setup this method wouldn't work. If a tire is taller when setting ride height the arms would be angled up more. So when you set your droop using this method it would be much more then if you used a smaller diameter tire.

For example USVTA tires are much taller then USGT tires and USGT tires are taller then lets say Sweeps. Not all stock brand rubber tires are going to measure out the same either I am sure.

2mm over ride height is always 2mm over ride height.. 5mm on blocks or larrys method will give different over hide height values for different tires, # of shims under the arms, etc

I got it down to the proper droop settings, the downstop screws are stick out about 3.5mm from the chassis, does that sound normal?
