I guess the main issue is that I have only driven 10.5t on high grip carpet and low grip tracks I have driven only vta (17.5t) so my driving style needs attention also but if I would get the car to handle well maybe I can adjust my hands to match.
I have the stock A700L
I think you should use one of the very low roll center setups and softest damping/spring settings at these low grip conditions.
Could you please show your setup?

Hi Oleg, Here is a quick copy of the setup I used on finals, sorry I may have missed few .5 shims from the setup sheet that the car has but it is about 95% correct.
(need to disassemble to make sure what I installed)

I know it is way wrong setup but it still worked better then the "ets-round-1-dominic-vogl" that I started the qualifying with.

fastvee,

This is your roll centers.
I think that these roll centers are too high for low grip conditions.

The "ets-round-1-dominic-vogl" setup gives even higher roll centers so you have changed the setup at the right direction but it was not enough.

The longer upper links will be better at low grip conditions also.

Thanks Oleg,I will try the longer link setup and lower the upper links also.

Any idea what is a good starting point ? -no shims under upper links top deck side and 2mm on bulkhead side? And about 1mm on wheel hubs side (to make everything level) ?

0.5mm under lower arms?

Sorry if my thoughts are difficult to understand, this is all so new to me, used to just driving, never done that much adjustments/setup changes to my older cars.

I really would like to learn how to properly setup this car but I´m so new to all this adjustability! ( from my first "touring" car TT-01 to A700L in 2 years so I am quite new at this...)

Pate, please see my post #2906 on the page #194.
You can find the setup with low roll center for standard A700L there.
Additionally please switch the dampers to asymmetric mode and extend both upper links to one hole more inwards on the front and rear.

Please remember also: removing of the shims from under upper inner AT21 raises the roll center.

Please don't forget to remove all spacers from under wheels also.
The increasing of the wheelspan decreases the traction.

Thanks again Oleg!

I will try that setup and fine tune it from there if needed.

Our congratulations to Viljami Kutvonen!
Viljami took 1st place in every qualification round and every finals of 2nd round of Finnish National series.
Traction was quite low on the track.
Viljami's setup is attached herewith.
We see that very low roll centers and floating top deck are good at different conditions for A700: at low grip and high grip also.

I knew a very low roll center was what was necessary.... I still can't read the setup files though.... I guess I'll shoot for -12mm roll center or so.... Good luck guys on the next ETS round ... I see wins in both mod and pro stock coming !!!! Don't get caught in traffic !!!

Hi Oleg,

Did Viljami uses the floating top deck with 6pcs of ST09 collars, as on its ets rnd2 setup?

Thanks Oleg Will take better shots soon

RCRollcentre has been very helpful in set up. I found after some time experimenting with the program that with AM06S it is possible to change roll centre a lot but without changing camber change too much, or vice versa. My car was good last weekend because I used the program.

I understand AM06S is a great option sometimes. When will it be available ?

Yes, 6pcs of ST09 collars were installed also.

The floating top deck is denoted by one red dot on each end of the top deck in the setup sheet .

hana166,
AM06S are in stock already.
