Initial shakedown of my A700-L. There are a couple of 'feel' things that I need to work out but the laptimes are near mod times at our local carpet track.

Gabrielle has a good starting setup from the Awesomatix site from the Italy Nationals.

I wasnt pushing the car to hard. Just clearing clean laps. Still strong times.

From my initial A700 to the Worlds Modifications to the current A700-L - Oleg and the guys have really raised the bar again.

Look for the red 'art car'.

There is a currency option on the website, see picture. :

in US dollars they are currently :

The L version $733
The EXL is $785
The EX is $903.

In Euros currently its :
L = 559
EXL = 599
EX = 689

If you don't plan on using Transverse motor option, the EXL or L is the sweet spot. Personally, I don't use Transverse for any motors ( 4.5 turn to 17.5 ).

I figured if you send a savings bond by pigeon it will mature by the time it gets there so you can afford one

Well, I did my first full 6 minute timed run today and.....well...I beat my record by two (2) laps??!!.....excuse me while I lay here in shock.....

My setup is similar to Jake Danilchick racing on tight high grip small carpet track, with exception to using long camber links and a little heavier on rear dampers...

Only problem that I am experiencing is that I have to take it easy for the first two laps, otherwise the car will traction roll on the fast sweeper...after the 2 laps, I'm good for the remainder of the run.

Any ideas as to how I can dial this out? I'm not really sure whether the traction roll is caused by the chassis being too stiff or too flexy, however, if I don't put any sauce in the front, it won't roll over at all.

Appreciate any thoughts on this matter.

Thanks!!
