It is possible to use our metal and plastic G05/06 gears instead of Spec-R gears.
Spec-R gears are suitable for our diff at right shimming also.

Thanks a lot for your rapidity Oleg

You spoke about metal gears; is that useful for 10.5 blinky class? No problem with that knd of gears? Any advices in comparaison to the plastic one?

Regards,
G-rem

I was going to ask the exact same thing. I experienced lower temps in the past in transverse orientation. The air underneath the car cools the motor, and it does seem to be very significant. I ran an inline setting, cut a hole in the baseplate on a old chassis, deepening the original slot all the way through, and used a fan on top, which blew air around the motor and out the bottom of the chassis and had the lowest temps of any previous set up.

Default Chassis cut outs

Hi hana166,did you find cutting the chassis under the motor caused different flex points on the chassis as the other side is solid plate,or did you also cut out the other side to match up.
Thanks

Just the one side. I didn't find the handling any different. It was just one of many experiments, and did produce really low temps. Regarding flex these days I use a completely solid prototype C01L and uncut top deck, pretty much the opposite of where I was six months ago. Top mounted fan still does a good job without the cut out.

If anything, I would add the Awesomatix to my stable, not to replace my tc4's though, and would only run the transverse motor setup since I already have the longitudinal setup.... Only if I had the money though($1000)....lol.....
