The kit must include 2pcs of R6 dampers and 2pcs of L6 dampers.
So there is the mistake of packing in your kit.
Please inquire the shop where you have bought this kit for replacement of two R6 dampers.

I just returned from my first outing with A700L.

Did my personal best lap so not too bad for first test. (from BD5WXi 15.57 to 15.35 on A700L)

However... -the symmetric/assymmetric screws are a bit of a problem.

-3 of them were loose after few runs. Tightened one ok ,second ok also but tried to do that to third... -the screw goes all the way in but keeps rotating.

Overtightened at the factory and stripped threds or what?

Do I glue it or is replacement an option here?

Should I use loctite on these screws?

in asymmetric mode with M3x4 set screws you should have no problems

in symmetric mode with M2.5x10 button head screws you should add a shim, try first 0.1 and if the screw doesn't stop try 0.2 e so on, but with max 0.3 the screw must stop!

the new dampers have a shim preassembled, probably there wasn't in your kit

Thanks Damon.

I just checked the shocks and all 4 did have about.1 or .2 black shims(dont have my digital caliper here atm to verify witch).

Funny thing is this: Just checked and all 4 screws were tight. -when I tightened them earlier today at the track and one would not tighten fully , I drove the last battery of the day after that and packed the car and went home.

when I just checked that shim thing the screw was tight! -is there something that could make this screw "self tighten"when driving or what the heck is happening or am I losing it, lol !

I must be too dum to get this but please could someone try to explane how adding shims makes the treads to fix themselfs or make the screw stop better then without them and if someone could tell also what happens inside the shock when the 2.5x10 screw goes in(and how can that be 2.5 but the set screw is 3mm!). -is there plastic threds and the screw acts as a stopper to some part in there and keeps things symmetric or what?

-It would be intresting to know everything about this marver of a car!

Is there a Awesomatix to English translator online ,lol

Some tips with 2.5x10 screws on the dampers:

In case of you can't tighten this screw fully on #6 damper
please unscrew it fully and pull out from damper's body.
Then screw it and tighten again.

The reason of this possible trouble is the excessive oil and pressure in the second (asymmetric) circuit inside the damper.
When you pull out 2.5x10 screw this excessive oil goes out and doesn't prevent to further full tightening of this screw.

all the reports of this car doing well are on carpet.

what is this car like on asphalt?

what is the mechanical grip of the latest car on medium traction asphalt compared to say the bd5/7's, T3/4's, tc6's?

We stricktly only race on outdoors asphalt and car performs very well.
Main competition is Xray T4s and although I only show up on race day, with zero practice, the car performs exceptionally well and I am always in the fight for the win.

Thanks again Oleg.

Could some one help with converting the A700 setups to fit A700L ?

Main problem I have with it is the upper link inner location settings. Setups I have seen uses holes that doesn´t exist on my car.

Marked red on the pic are front locations that look different then on A700L that has fewer of them.

I also need help with rear setting also.

Hope someone can help.

Upper links inner balls location on A700 and A700L&EX.

Please note that the third hole from the outside is the same for A700 and A700L/EX and this hole is the outer hole on AM01/AM01-1.

Hi,

Is it normal in A700 L car kit that new P11 ( compared to the old one for A700) is mounted very very tight and can' t be out off the way to add shims without destroying it?

I also have a problem with this part. It fits ok but too short. The old plastic sleeve was longer.

mine is too short AND doesn't not fit OK, much too tight.
Can I use the old one and cut it at the right size?
