Not sure if you guys have noticed. AWESOMATIX has released some new parts for the A700.

Please see the picture of AM18L and AM05L parts attached.

  • New Rear Holder, AM05L - improved suspension and body mount. The AM05L is more strong version of AM05. The unit is also designed to work with future tweaks of the AM01 gear box/mount parts. Backwards compatible with the existing AM01 parts.
  • New Front Holder, AM18L - adds the possibility to have even shorter upper links that help increase front camber gain. The unit is also designed to work with future tweaks of the AM01 gear box/mount parts. Backwards compatible with the existing AM01 parts.

It will be interesting to see what Oleg has in mind for the AM01 changes. I have racked my brain thinking about how to design a two piece gear mount for this car to provide more flex but support the shaft design. Perhaps that is in the cards. Looking forward to the next production run of the A700.

I keep this thread bookmarked and seems it is the only channel to get update parts information.

So far, most of the shared setup using long camber link to maintain a lower roll centre and probably trade off the camber gain. I just wonder if there are any configuration that can keep the low value of RC but preserve the high camber gain.

Default Fan

Hoping this will help someone..

Made this in brass to place fan in a more crash resistant position. Got sick of having them smashed. As an unexpected bonus is it seems to be helping the motor to run 5-10deg C cooler than I had before with a typical clip on mount, perhaps its because the new mount is so minimal it hardly obstructs the airflow.

Maybe some other drivers with access to tooling can make their own but hopefully Oleg will make a nice one in aluminium or carbon for us hint hint

Another win today at ENDAS 2012.

Same previous set up used for foam tyres, with just minor camber corrections for correct left/right tyre wear.

I missed the Race because of privat shedule but I have been there during the week before. Car was okay but the tire rule is more than a joke. Hope they will change it for the worlds :-)

I was pretty shocked when I heard this decision on tyres. Possibly it is OK to ban additives with foam, but a mod car on rubber? It'll be blinky 21.5 in 2014

I really hope they will change rules for two new for final practice, two new sets for quali and one new, which is only allowed to use in the final. Because its stupid to run in the tires in the final practice rounds.
