Hey all A700 owners, so I'm starting the build of my new awesomatix, and just had a quick question for you guys. So I'm looking at part P06(downstop) are they supposed to snap into the chassis or is there a special way to install them properly, I'm to afraid to force them in as they don't seem to just snap into the hole supplied by the chassis, thanks for your time guys any advice would be appreciated.

Yes, Mine were a very tight fit. they need to be pushed in from the top. You are supposed to use CA / aka "super glue". I used my pinion wrench which has a plastic bezel so I could push them firmly into place without harming the top.

lol, u have been saying that Rob for over a year now, anyway back to the awesomatix thread, Ive read guys saying its better to run st11 round bushing rather then the st12 square ones due to wearing out, have you guys all experience this with the square bushings? i got both of them not sure which to use.

Most everyone is running the round bushings they are a lot freer than the square bushings..... There is now a bearing kit to replace the pins and bushings and they are supposed to be the ticket to run in the car..... I have mine ordered and can't Waite to put them on and try them.... You should have good success with the a700...

Hey guys has any body had issues with there outdrives wearing out or anybody needed to replace there outdrives?

Depends on what your expectations are for wear. My 3000+/- laps with the original spool and gear diffs using the round bushings and my outdrives are still good for use. I recently replaced the round bushings. Early on, I ran the bronze ends and found those to wear considerably faster than the round bushings. That said, they bronze surely took more wear than the outdrives at that time.

The round bushings are the way to go. I like the idea of the bearings. But having ran those during my Losi days when Brian Kinwald came up with it, they might be more efficient but might require more maintenance review and are not as durable in terms of collision or impact.

The implementation is also only as good as the quality of bearing.

At any rate, keep the bushings/bronze ends/outdrive clean and oiled and you will get great wear.

Caveat - your mileage might vary.
