Default How to get more steering throw out of a Ko Mars Radio.

Just as the title says, I need more steering throw from the radio. I have my steering travel set at 150% and my left and right symmetry at 100 % both sides. Is there anyway I can do something to add more? The servo is only moving about 60 degrees each way but I need more.

Any help would me greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Martin.

I'm not talking about actually steering on the track, just steering throw when the car is sitting at rest. It doesn't go full lock each way.

So I'm asking is there anyway to make the servo turn more.

Thanks.

Put a longer horn on the servo.

It sounds like your Mars is set to give as much throw as possible so you will have to get the extr mechanically rather than electronically.

Also-try this. Turn all your trims to zero and start over.

Turn your Dual Rate to 50%. Now turn your End Points to 100% left and right.

Now turn the D/R back up till your steering spindles hit the carriers or whatever stops them. If your at 100% and your still not hitting thr stops, now turn your EPA's up to 120% or whatever it takes.

I ghad to dothis on my old KO EX11 radio when I ran a Vector.

Also-what car is this for?? I know in big fast Gas cars (Impact and Vector's) it was common to need full lock to lock plus a little more.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll try a bigger horn.

Ray: I will give your tips a try, the car is a mugen mtx-3 which requires a lot of throw. The problem is I always have the radio set at level 1 and barely used anything more on this radio than trim so I dont even know if there are features to help increase steering throw. I will let you know what happens though.

Thanks.
