Son did back to back testing today with new 17.5, 008-EU, Mazda6, Speed6, and the LTC-R, new layout on carpet with rubber tires, Speed6 was fast, with plenty of steering but rear was a little lose, Mazda6 was more planted in the rear but had to add a little more steering, next came the LTC-R. OMG! the car looked so much smoother he was running in the low 12s with the other 2 bodies, when a good lap popped up we expected an 11.9? no 11.6 then in a couple of laps 11.3 with 11.5s all day long best with the Mazda speed or 6 was 11.8 and he could not back them up, every time he put the LTC-R back on it was 11 sec again! if you want the steering along with very stable rear? LTC-R all the way!!!! thankz Dale

Specifically how high should I run my body above ride height to allow for the roll in rubber?

Dave.

We always mount the body and trim to stock trim lines, this should get you very close, take the car out and do laps slowly going faster till it rubs, trim, try again, what you should end up with is a body that is trimmed just above the bottom of the chassis with every thing installed.

The regular weight has been out for awhile now as well.

Either the distributor's didn't re-order and ran out or that the manufacturer is waiting to do a production run of them at one time rather than only doing a small quantity at a time.

Just an FYI,

I ran the LTC-R body this past week at the Snowbirds in 10.5 Rubber and always seemed to pull slightly faster laps with it than the Mazdaspeed 6.

Good to see you out there as always Dale!

Keep up the good work!

I was getting my bodies ready for the Carpet Nats and thought I would check out the approved bodies on the ROAR site... I didnt see the LTC-R on the approved list.
Has this body been sent in for ROAR approval?

Why is this body, in regular weight, such a pain in the a#$ to get? Two different hobby shops have had this on order for weeks now and nothing.

???
