I am about to start racing on carpet w/ foams and I was wondering what chassis would be better the D1 or D2. It is a relativley large carpet track. you can see pics of the track here www.mikeshobbyshop.com click on the track cam link.

rc311 i would recomend the d-1 its the right choice for carpet on foams the d-2 is for asphalt and its fast on carpet with rubber(radial) tires but it takes a lot to set up but once set up its fast! but note its extremely twitchy.
the d-1 is the best for the carpet on foams. make sure you ask victor for the adjustable wheelbase model. let him know what i recomended and he will agree.

Cool, I guess I will go with the D1 then. Thanks for the reply.

Did you look at pics of the track? It's brand new, I have been out of onroad for a while but that track made me want to come back its the first permanent onroad track in our area.

Hey Vic,

I just picked up my stuff from Rob this morning. my poor D1 is in sad condition. Broken arm, bent hingepin, broken outdrive, mangled pins on CVD. Poor car took a beating in the Main. Anyways-I want to hold the chassis hostage!!!

I want to thank you so much for letting me borrow your personal chassis for this race. It was the easiest to drive, yet fastest Sedan I have ever driven. I cannot wait till the Nats!!

Ray

SpeedXl-It will live to be a practice body till the Nats!!! I spent WAY more money than anticipated down there so I am flat broke now. All tires, motors and batteries will be run into the ground this month and next. Theres a sweet pic of your car in one of the corners taken by Shane. Did you see it?
