rcoldman,

Question for ya on your set up....

R-Block in front? Is that giving you inboard toe "out"? More steering....

R block gives you about 1 deg inboard toe out and about 1.5 deg antidive. It keeps the front end from diving into the corner and makes the steering more progressive.
Keeps your entering speed up and dosen't scrub so much speed.

Fred, (RCOldMan)

Are you running the stock rack or the nitro one?

Hey Rob,

Been busy, busy, busy here!! HOpe your well-Thanks for all your help here!!!

I am always learning amazing things!! I am playing around with a D2 again. VERY interesting results!! I very well may have to devote another weekend or two to it. my D1 appears to be nearly perfect-so that cars pretty much ready for the Champs.

I am going to bring a d2 with me too. Just in case the layout favors the car!!

Ray

Heres where I am at with the D1 (2.5mm chassis, 3mm top deck).

I hope this helps those running on carpet w/ foam tires.

FRONT
NTC3 rack with stiff black spring.
Losi 6* C-hubs and Losi steering knucles. Ballstuds spaced down on knuckles 0.030"
70 wt Trinity Oil with #3 pistons. 60 wt AE oil will work too. Yellow spring
Shock in on arm-out on tower.
Camber link up and long.
F0 block and standard sway bar.
JACO Plaid sauced 1/2 to 3/4

REAR
AE rear hubs and camber link up and long as possible. r-2+0 rear block.
50 wt AE oil and #3 pistons. SHocks outside on arm and outside on tower.
JACO Purple sauced full.
4mm ride height and droop is set by uptravel od 2.5mm front and rear. Front diff tighter than rear-but NOT locked.

Ray I heard that your track isn't all that high traction. I hear the champs will be, going back to ozite...the good kind. Just letting you know. I have raced at both my local track and Trackside Hobbies and the setup I'm running works well at both, better at trackside though. Trackside is almost always higher traction as well. The setup I'll be coming to the champs with will be the one I race with the weekend before at Trackside. For all you guys going to Cleveland, if you want the setup PM me and I'll have it to you early that week.

Axiom-we are getting new carpet in about five weeks and it will be the highest grip stuff going from CRC. I hear its so good that its got grip on day one without one car on it!!!

The great thing is when we do our usual track design changes-the grip will be there immediately!!!

Our tracks level of grip changes and thats one of the biggest reasons were buying new stuff.

When you see the track in person-you'll see how awesome it is!!

Seth, we have to run between hotel rooms

Next year if we plan right we could reserve a block of rooms for Warpspeed.
