Default Good Deal?

This guy who got me started in R/C (Matt?) is finally quiting the sport. Hes asked me if I want to buy any of, or all, of his old r/c stuff. He has
*Team Losi JR-2 Buggy (roller chassis, needs work)
*original RC10 (roller, needs work)
*MR4TC (needs a little work, comes with GM v12 esc, chameleon, airtronics servo and receiver)
*2 P2k's, 2 1700 batteries, 1 2000 battery.
*some miscellaneous tools

He is asking $150 for everything. Should I get everything, and fix up the buggies, or just only buy what I need (need p2k's, and the mr4tc, batteries).

The mr4tc is in almost running condition. How much can I get for the mr4tc roller?

Soo many questions...

Sounds like an ok deal. If you get the MR4TC rolling chassis working right, you can probably get $50-60 for it, but if your just starting out it sounds like a really good deal. You got questions and we got answers so ask away...

The MR4 TC is still a good TC and the GM V12 is a good speed controler,it's on par with the best esc's out right now,for $150 I would buy it all you should be able to get the money you spent back.Or at least get a few parts for free or next to nothing.

Well Considering I already have a XXX-S Graphite Plus, I probably wont get the mr4tc, and seeing that I have a RC10B3, i wont get the JR-2 or the rc10. Just checking if I could get anything out of them. How much should I ask for the esc?

find out the condition of it and if it has any instructions and maybe give him 50 or 55 for it tops

I would buy it for around 40 or 45 myself

just because you can get a new V4 for 60 and not run anything above 14-turn for a motor

always use the used speedo's for back-up

however if you do not need to go to a pwerful modified motor then you can just go with the V4 it is fine for racing

I will be using one in my T1R for back up and heats

my GT7 will take care of the mains
