I wonder how much asphalt testing they did compared to carpet testing.
IMO, 1/12th scales are very adaptable. The DB12R was 90% asphalt and 10% carpet for R and D. The base set-up sucked for it. It has taken a good 6 months in the hands of the consumer to get it good for carpet. Many sold them in favor of other cars, but the BMI is as good as the rest, just the base set-up on carpet is not so good.

I don't doubt that, but knowing xray there will probably an asphalt version, a carpet version, and a limited edition version

Tc's are just as adaptable if not more, heck, at least they have independant rear suspension and a little more than just some springs up front!!

I can't wait to see what they did with the front end. My IRS, Associated and BMI front end is perfect right now. Springs don't collapse or anything.

Understood. This thread is about the Xray car. You posted the BMI saying that the pic looked like an Orange BMI. I just wanted to let you know that they were not similar in design... thats all.

or maybe everyone who has bought a new Xray touring car will see the light, sell their Xray T2, and buy a TC5 and 12R5 for the money they had left over...

HMMM Been looking into a new 1/12th scale car. Guess I will wait and see what this will be. Knowing Xray it will be the most expensive but the most adjustable car on the track. Just like the first Xray tc. Remember that? Everyone was scared of it..lol.. Now everyone has to have one even with the high price tag..

I am waiting for RedRC to comment. They are normally the first to know about anything.

Ive seen it too.... I asked Paul if it was OK to post anything about it and he said he would prefer I didnt, so you will have to wait another day or two before a spy shot gets out.
But really... how much can you change on a 12th scale that hasnt been done before
