Absolutely classic .

The IP4600 is marketed by the lipo wing of Intellect. In other words the IB4600 in a different heatshrink. At good prices? Of course they would be .. Lipos are taking over. They have to price the Nimh down to compete

Is Speedzone a reputable place for these matched batteries? I need some 4 cell packs for the 1/12 season. I've used Pro Match in the past and they seem to be ok.

Speedzone matches some great stuff and Gavin's knowledge and diligence in scrutinizing updated cell technology puts him at the forefront with other top matchers. He is always looking for the golden ratio of performance and longevity which is why he is now introducing the IP cell. The E-Power 4500 which he still sells is also a fantastic cell with phenomenal cell longevity and good performance. I don't think you can go wrong with getting some packs from him and I think the IP cell is going to really work well. Like all of the best matchers (SMC, Pro-Match, Hurricane, etc.) Speedzone warranties their stuff and offers great customer service so you will be taken care of if you need anything.

IP 38s and 42s were great, especially to oval guys.

I use Gavin's IB4600 packs. And even though they are the first matched packs I've ever used, I am thoroughly impressed with their power. I've won several A-mains in stock sedan (Trinity CO27 pro) at our local races, beating out Hacker 17.5 cars, and even a couple cars with 19T spec motors (rules are not enforced)...

I did have an issue with one IB cell dying on me, and Gavin replaced it with a new one at no cost. I can definitely recommend SpeedzoneUSA...

PS: You can ask for discounted "low-runtime" packs if your budget minded and run stock...

Speedzone and Trinity are two different companies owned by two different people. Just because Trinity sells or imports a product doesn't make that product a poor performer and Trinity now has Dieter back which makes a HUGE difference as he is a quality guy. If Trinity were to sell or importing this cell [whether it is an IB variant or something different] it could be an indication of the cells capability and not an automatic pronouncement of its inability.
