guys, what are those of you w/ a tc5 running for a front bumper to protect the front tires a bit more? Someone had mentioned something to me but I forgot the name. I saw another one for sale for around 5 bucks (the foam itself) but there was no pic of what it actually was and looked like. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?
Thanks

I'm using a protoform 69 Camaro body with 7 3/4" between front fenders over the wheels. I need a wider body in the front. Anyone know how wide the HPI 69 Camaro body is at the front wheel cut outs? Is there any other VTA bodies wider?

This VTA thread is dead. Is there another one?

This thread seems to be active still. This is my current VTA ride, a Tamiya TA-05 v2 chassis. The car is basically box stock with the plastic shocks and the plastic clips to adjust ride height. I raced it for the first time last week and took the TQ and the win in the A-main. You don't need to spend huge $$ to run VTA. FWIW, I ran my old TC3 in the USGT class and was beaten by a guy running the new FWD Awesomatix chassis and another running the TC7.2.
My chassis has the blue aluminum front suspension carrier, graphite front shock tower, blue aluminum servo mounts and the blue aluminum motor protector. All the other parts are box stock. I removed the IFS front suspension in favour of a traditional shock tower as it just works better.
Savox 0352 servo, M-code 25.5 motor, Hobbywing XR10 Justock ESC and guided with my Airtronics MX-V radio.

I am and have been running a 2013 Hobao H4.
...6 or 7 full seasons on it and its still a competitor.
Still using the same ESC and servo from 2013 as well, ...only upgrades are body replacement, wheels/tires and motor.
VTA is a fun class, prob my fav' I love the scale looks

Also like the class. Was running a 69 Camaro, but needed a 200mm body so using a 71 Camaro now.

My 3Racing blue aluminum shocks arrived today and have been built with the included 3-hole pistons, shock oil supplied (No idea what weight), shortest shock lowers and the included springs. Feels similar to my plastic Tamiya shocks, but did add a few grams of weight. I am now well over the 1450g minimum weight for VTA. Great value at $20.90 USD with FREE shipping. Part number TA05 #TA05-25/LB/V2
