Help me out: Yokomo SD Black or Losi XXXS G+

put aside your car or team loyalty. Which car would you pick if you could only pick one and why. WHat are the strengths and weaknesses. thanks

Both are great cars. Both are very successful at local and international races. You really can't go wrong with either one.
What it boils down to is, shaft or belt, which is a neverending debate. Choose your soda, Coke or Pepsi?

p.s.
Don't you have a Black Sd for sale?

Man just flip a quarter as they both are awesome. I have had the XXX-S and I now run the Yoke. Both have given me about the same results ........FAST!!! They both run well and have plenty of adjustments to really dial it in.

For carpet I'd probably go with the Losi and for ashfault probably the Yoke.

Gabe, you will do well with whatever car you decide to race. More importantly would be parts support in your area. Any of the cars out these days are more than capable of winning a race on any given day. You know what I would suggest. :sneaky: :p

I've had both and pretty much agree with all of the above:
- both great cars and have an equal chance of winning
- local parts support might be an issue
- it boils down to shaft v. belt

I personally prefer the Yok/shaft myself (seems to have more punch out of the corners). Plus the Yok was much easier for me to work on/change setups and the fit/finish was surperior. Toss a coin and pull the trigger. Then learn to use what you've got.

Very simple..:)

Hehehe J/K..

Anyway, I got both.. they both are easy to drive. Yes and yes. YOKOMO car is very easy to work on very tunable.

But you might run into a part problem as the car is still new to the market.

You might not get the support from LHS. But you can mail order parts on the Internet or even direct from YokomoUSA website.

Good Luck on whichever car you will get.

yokomo, world champions, nuff said.

j/k

its up to you really. as long as YOU love it, doesn't really matter what others say. i'd go the yokomo path since its driven and proven, not to say the losi isn't, but i bet yokomo won more races :ha:

I own the XXX-S G+, and I've seen three Yok SD's at RC's Raceway in Tulsa.

The Yok's have a lot of punch coming out of the corners. The Losi seems to require a more fluid driving style, while the Yok is more "point-n-shoot," similar to the TC3.

Quality wise, they both seem to be very nice. I think, as it's already been stated, that it boils down to belt vs. shaft preference.
