Ridiculous a $100 "option" seems to be necessary for a $500 chassis to operate at it's best.

I have the 09 foam tire version & I put Jaco foams #6160 on the front & they hit the steering arms, the manual tells me to put the tires on a tire truer or file them down. I don't have a tire truer so how are you guys doing this, looks like a lot has to be taken on the inner tire & rim. I checked the shims in the front & they are correct, the front tracking width is 189mm, this is correct.

T2-09 Rubber. Everything is loose and EPAs are set. After playing with it further it only does it at low speeds. If I'm on throttle it does not chatter while steering, only while going slow.

My guess is ECS may be needed but i'll deal with it for now before I drop even more money on a new car

Just run it bud, turn down the end points some and drive it. You gotta learn to drive on road before droping the cash on the ECS's. I dont run the ECS's, and its plenty fine. People drove fast forever without them

The truer is the easiest way to sand down the inner edge. Ask someone at your track if they can do it for ya. Otherwise you can space the wheel out at the hex with either the wider Xray hexes or wheel shims. It will take some steering away but its much better than binding.

You used WAY too much loctite on the grubscrews in your driveshafts, and it has turned all the grease you put on the joint into glue. You need to dissasemble your driveshafts, scrape all the grease out (which is now glue), and start over. only used the TINNIEST drop of loctite on the grubscrew, and make sure you wipe up any excess before you grease your shafts.

Im 90% sure that is what it is... happens to a lot, and happened to me on both the 09s I built. Just take the shaft out and see if it wobbles freely in all directions. My bet, is that one direction it is about locked (or really tight). That is a sign the little cupler is loctited into the hole, in the driveshaft. It is a pain in the arse to get out... have to scrape it out with something like an allen wrench or something. Soaking in wd-40 helps too.

All chassis do the same, but Xray actually offer an option to prevent it.

They are also a bit more delicate than the factory items in my opinion, so not givveing them to every cretin to destroy is probably a good thing.

Can't say I buy this 100%. Maybe my ta05 was magic. The 007 I had, however, rattled like crazy.
