One way spool, would be the same as running the multi-diff with the link bar in and the locking pin removed. Which is a nice option.

Default ECS Driveshaft Impressions

Just figured I'd chime in too on my opinion about the ECS shafts:

I have found that they do dramatically change the handling and steering characteristics of the car and are a great tuning option to have in your toolbox.

I found that when running the ECS shafts that direction/steering transistions in tight corners were much quicker and could be taken with more throttle input due to the reduced binding in the front end.

Also as a result of less bind in the front end was the fact that there is less "self braking" of the inside front wheel resulting in smoother radiused corners which can be a definate advantage in certain situations.

You can try these,

http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/pro...0Hard%20Coated

Also if you are hitting boards often then you will be breaking parts or bending parts. This will happen with any car.

Hope the info helps.

Help with Springs:

So am running an out-of-the-box Eu 009, and want to spare part some extra suspension springs for tuning on the track. But, the "black" springs that come with the EU kit aren't even listed in the spring line-up. In the book that came with the car, Xray lists the following as possible springs:

14lb / Yellow / Super-Soft
15lb / Blue-Green
17.5lb / White / Soft
20lb / Light-Blue
22.5lb / Blue / Soft-Medium
25lb / Dark blue
28lb / Violet / Medum
30lb / Light-Purple
33lb / Purple / Medium-Hard
35lb / Light-Red
38lb / Red / Hard

They also list:

14lb Gold
17.5 Silver

They also list:

C=2.2
C=2.4
C=2.6
C=2.8
C=3.0
C=3.2
C=3.4

Soo... whats the delio? Where do the black fall in this painfully unintuitive thing they got going on here? Difference between pound ratings, and C ratings? Why two different kinds of ratings? Please help as I would like to have a set 1 step firmer, and 1 step softer than the factory blacks for fine tuning. Unless of course there is something else you can recommend altogether?

Thanks as usual.

Cpt.

You will be fine with the black springs. 2.4,2.6,2.8, and 3.0 are all good rates to have. Most are not using the color springs with rubber tire. If you run foam you will want the colored springs

Mario, thanks, that helps a ton. Question, are the 2.4s and 2.6s different rates? I ask because they seemed to be grouped together. And why would you run only the blacks on asphault but colored on carpet, if their stiffnesses sort of run along the same lines as one-another? Are the blacks progressive but colored ones linear or something?

Thanks again

The only progressive springs Xray produces is the gold and silver from the T2 and the T2R Pro.

The reason I say to use the black springs is that you may want to use a Team driver set up or fellow racer set up. We are mostly using the black springs with the rubber tire cars now. The blacks do not go firm enough for foam. At least not for the front of a foam car
