Nexxus has spur gears specifically for the T2 cars and they go down to the 80's maybe even the 70's, the nise part is they have the proper holes drilled for motor screw access. Made by RW Racing.

What hopups are people running on the T2 009? I just picked up a T2 Pro that has been upgraded to a T2 009 (minus the orange) and determining what other parts to get. I have read about the ECS driveshafts and moving the motor forward. I run on a low/medium grip parking lot track. What will moving the motor forward do for me?

Also, anyone have a spare set of ECS driveshafts (52mm) that they are looking to sell?

for $50 a peice, i would just mute out the chatter and not run the ECS driveshhafts.

Yeah they are pretty expensive. However, my driveshafts are a little bent and debating whether I want to replace them with the same ones or just upgrade to the ECS.

How are the T2 009 shocks compared to the Tamiya 416 shocks? I remember when I owned a Phi that a lot of people were replacing the shocks with the Tamiya 416 shocks. Just wanted to get an idea about the XRay shocks in comparison (off the T2 Pro).

If i were you, i would just put the spring steel all the way around. you wont bend those. thats what im planning on doing before we start racing again.

If you price out ALL the pieces of the standard drive shafts, next to the ECS driveshafts... the ESC shafts are a few dollars cheaper. So if you have to replace, might as well go with the ECS.

The xray shocks (both plastic and aluminum) work fine - The tamiya 416 shocks are nice though.

I have a set of Tamiya shocks (i think that they are off a 415) laying around. Was debating whether I wanted to try them out on my T2 Pro (also, I like the blue color).

I had tried out the TRF shocks (415) on my old t2'007 and they worked well. But ended up going back to the xray ones.
