I guess XRay's biggest rival would probably be Tamiya. XRay's parts quality is undeniably superior*, and you can get the stuff easily in the US. Here's a glimpse of the other side, if you order from HK, which is pretty much always. Sometimes you can source the parts in the US for a few more bucks, but with cheaper/faster shipping.

44mm steel (or alum) shafts = $11 (x2)
Cross Joints = $5 (x4)
Drive Axles = $7 (x2)
Shipping = ~$20 (and inconvenient)

* I've been running the same 4 steel CVD's in my car for nearly 2 years now, often with a spool up front, 13.5/rubber/carpet. I'm still on the original set.

In march someone posted here editable setup sheets of the 008 and 009. The links mentioned in the post don't work anymore. Can someone put them somewhere so I can download the 009 version? Sending it via PM is also a good option! ;-)

THANX!

For your problem perhaps the hard hubs will work better for you.

They only make 1* and 2* aluminum rear uprights.

If you look for a utility on the web called CutePDF you should be able to edit and then save them;

http://www.cutepdf.com/

I think you want the 'Form Filler' as opposed to the writer.

With a SMC 5000 LiPo (or a 5000 Thunder Power LiPo) all I needed was a Hyperdrive LiPo weight plate underneath the battery.

Or you could just use some melted Pulse motors for ballast. I've heard that Epic has plenty of them.
