Why is it that only Yanks call your screws "Standard" in the rest of ithe world they are called Imperial.

I guess the same reason why every US sporting event is the "World" series/titles etc.

Because it is the standard in US made things. However I am a big fan of the metric system and prefer it over the IMPERIAL system.

Just like gallons and ounces, catch up to the rest of the world already
Even the countries that devised those measurements have moved on.

Is Anybody using this for lipos in their 009?

http://www.nexusracing.com/product_i...f5080dfc94d208

I am having a hard time picturing how you would mount your lipo... what keeps them from flying out of the car? My 009 didnt come with any way to mount a battery pack into the car.... I do have tape though.

I have been using similar plates in my car for quite a while now...

What I do is I servo tape the battery (with even more tungsten ballast) to the tray itself... Then I use strapping tape to secure the whole assembly into the car.

So do you buy one tray for each pack you have so they are easy to swap?

Yes.

One thing to do to these plates is to grind a little of the tray away where it meets the tape slot in the chassis. Once you get a tray, put it on the chassis with no battery, and try sliding it front to back. You will be able to see how the tray edge could cut through the battery tape, so grind a little bit of the tray, and try it again, etc. This way, if you hit something, the tray won't cut the tape, causing the whole thing to be ejected from the car at the next turn.
