David Spashett last raced a 12th scale at the 2006 worlds, so unfortunately he won't be there to defend his title, nor is he racing Touring Cars anymore.

I'm 'assuming' Hara and Moore will be doing the 12th event for HB, Marc, Hupo and Hagberg for CRC, and Masami for Yokomo.... so it could still be a good battle for the title. I expect to see one of the UK's fast rising stars, Elliot Harpet (HB/Nosram) challenging for the A in 12th and possibly even Touring Car....

Shame there isn't more American's entered, nor that the 12th isn't being run on carpet. Nevertheless, it should be a good, competitive event in both classes.

Elliott Harper even! (Hi Oli!)

If he can get the hang of setting a 12th up for asphalt I think he might even be up for winning it, and I'm not just saying it because we're on the same team! He's never done 12th on asphalt though and its a whole different game to carpet.

I'd say he's up for A Main in Touring Car too, not bad for a 15 year old!

Don't forget we are talking about worlds

There are MANY drivers capable of A main, and a small fraction of time might separate them. When you have a racer like Adashi, Graversen, Hara that haven't managed to be on A main on last worlds then for Elliott is even more difficult

I wish all the best of course, it would be EXTREMELY nice if he does manage it

GOOOOOO Elliott

Hey Jason - TOP Racing and I decided to back out of going due to several reasons. First and foremost, we have a prototype TC right now that doesn't have a whole lot of testing on it and to debut it at a WC unprepared doesn't feel like the wise choice on such a close time frame. Not to mention, the WC has changed over the years. It's now all about who's company spends tens of thousands of dollars to go 2-5 times in the year prior to test for 1 single event. Yes, I really wanted to try and make a run at 1/12 this year as I felt I had learned a lot with our 1/12 car and asphalt racing but again to have a WC with less practice than most other major events on a permanant track where everyone has been testing just seems like a waiste of $$. We decided to save the $$ and focus our efforts on getting the new TC and other products to the market. From there, we will make a big push and go after the next one.

I wish everyone from the US good luck!!!

I think BRCA submits a lsit of ranked drivers to EFRA, and then EFRA submits the drivers who pais the entry fee.

After that and if there are remaining entries, basically every driver with an active registry with his national federation can attend the race...........

This year specially I feel that the turnout will be far away from the maximum allowed, so if anyone arrives at the track before the deadline for registering, Ifmar will accept new drivers.......
