Mike - Umm, send another e-mail - computer crash lost all my old e-mails....

John - Thanks!!!

Mr. Hughes - Sounds good!!

alien too - Are you talking about the upper a-arm or lower?? I'm a bit confused whether these questions relate to a gas or electric car....

Striker - To be honest, castor is one of those settings that is a driver preference thing. Some of us say more caster = more steering but others don't. The reason being the way we enter the corner on the steering and throttle. I usually lift earlier than most and pick up the throttle sooner (too much 1/8 gas!!) which causes me to feel that more castor is more steering. Some drivers who drive in deeper think more castor has less steering because it doesn't react as fast to their first initial input of steering when they turn and brake later. Best advise - try it and see what you think.

ddesros2 - Thanks! I realized who you were once I called your race on the computer...lol... Thanks for coming down!!

Hey Josh, I sent you an email

Oh and do you have any plans to make an oval car to go with the C12? Also, with 10th scale pan car looking like its making a comeback, are you planning to go that route anytime soon (road course or oval)?

Default setup ?

Josh - Sorry for the confusion, these questions are based on electric touring.
- How does sweeping the front A-arms back change steering characteristics?
- What does raising the lower support blocks do vs. lowering the inner upper link? Don't both methods raise roll center?
- What does changing the width of the Front or Rear of a car with wheel spacers do to the handling (187mm vs.189mm vs.191mm)?

Josh,

I know this is the 'on-road' thread... I guess oval is on road, or the kind of oval I want to know about is on road/carpet.

I've heard that you sometimes run a bellcrank and/or some simmilar steering setup on your oval pan cars. I'm gussing that maybe this has something to do with trying to get the ackerman correct, or at least like you want it to be. So I was wondering if you could elaberate on what your doing , how your doing it(where you go the parts), and why your doing it? If you know of some place I could see a photos of the setup you use, could you point me to them?

will do, I will use the form on your website. Then later I can get a different email to send the resume. Or, if you would like to PM me with a phone number where I could reach you.

Thanks,
Mike

Default New 1/12th Front Suspension

Josh,
I want to know if you have a pics of the new 1/12th front end that you ran in Cleveland? They didn't post any in the magazines that I saw.

I found some pictures of Josh's 10th scale oval I was asking about...

http://www.nashrcracer.com/2005snowbirds/snow076.htm
http://www.nashrcracer.com/2005snowbirds/snow077.htm

I'm still wondering why he's using it, and if the parts are available somewhere...

Oh, and I'm not sure if this is the front end he ran in Cleavland, but this was
after that, down in Florida at Snowbirds... His 12th oval car...

But then those photos make me wonder to myself... how is it that you can run the
steering like that in 12th scale, but apparently it just simply doesn't
work well like that in 10th scale.

Sorry guys, haven't been on here in a while....

trackdesigner - We are working on the 1/12 oval car. We only made a short run of the cars we have but we are working on a batch of C12SS kits that hopefully will be out around the fall.

jjmudd - I haven't heard anything from Kyosho as of yet... Hopefully I'll hear something soon!!

Marcos - Already answered there!!
