Check out the body I did for the X1. It's no Red Bull car...but I was going for a something a little different. I still have to trim it out for the X1 rear suspension (like RTypeC's) then it's done.

Akura nailed it. I used Tamiya poly carbonate black on the inside of the car then hit it with the PS55 flat clear on the exterior. I used about three coats on all of it.

It feels durable and I've seen it used on the Tamiya Porsche cup cars. It looked like it was withstanding a pretty good beating on those cars and didn't seem to scratch. So I went for it. I also used it on the front/rear wings and the mirrors.

Thanks guys!

I have a wing question. What effect does raising or lowering the rear wing in its mount have? I'm running the wing in its highest position on my F109 and was curious if there is a noticeable change to anything.

It is a case by case for rear wings. What 3Racing are you using? The lower wing doesn`t have much down force compare to most. Also it is a rather heavy wing. Moving the wing up should give you more down force in the rear. This is what most people think and it works for some wings. But with a heavy wing moving it up can effect rear grip in turns. Moveing the weight up can cause the rear of the car to want to roll more just from the weight. Rear wings are usally the tallest part of a F1 car and moving weight up can cause the rear to lose grip.
I run my rear wing lower than stock sometimes depending on what wing it is. Its a balance of down force vs the rear wanting to roll more.

Just try all the positions with all the wings you have and you can find whats best for you. Don`t be afraid to try a few laps change the height and then try a few more.

I think this would be more theoretical than having a big effect in practice.

With the wing fixed to a motor pod and a straight axle at most you may lose a little weight on the inside wheel. I doubt you will lift a wheel off the deck.

Of course I could be wrong, happens a lot.

Cheers

On another note, I picked up some test prints for the Lotus T128 decals at lunch time. I will snap a couple of pics and post tonight. The I should have the Renault Lotus R31 decals on Friday afternoon, and the RedBull RB7 by the end of next week
