F103 (RS?). good news, its totally interchangable with all F103 parts released now. Great car and the Ferrari was one of the nicest looking of the bunch. I have a near new one on the shelf.

Can anyone tell me which if the F1's has the strongest drivetrain, or can withstand the most power? Not looking to race (have my offroad nitro for that), but just build up a budget street toy that is all about top speed really. Will be looking at the likes of the hobbwing 3.5 turn brushless motor for a cheap power setup. Will most of them handle this amount of power without too much hassle?

Are the tamiya's still the pick of the bunch? Have heard that the F103s are still better than the F104's, is this still the case?

I have an HPI Super F1 that I have a 12t brushed motor in and I can hardley keep that thing straight with a 6 cell NiMH pack in it...I can only imagine this thing with a 3.5 brushless 2S pack in it.

idk about 3 turn motor but i sometimes run my F104W with a 3 cell lipo on the silvercan motor and it should destroy my nitro, in fact if anything it needs taller gearing as it just wants to spin if i gun it at any speed. And thats runing on the speed controller at 85% power.

but yea F103 or F104w for the wider stance and wider rear tires.

All the current F1 cars have the same type of drivetrain...direct drive spur and pinion. The drivetrain will handle that easily...the driver probably won't be able to

Yup is a stock F103 chassis.
Looks like it got a part of a diffuser on it and the body seems to be a Ferrarri 412T

Just Wanted to give a status update, the artwork for the Renault Lotus R31 decals is done and out for quote. The Lotus Racing T128 is 95% done and will be sent out Monday. And hopefully the RedBull RB7 will follow close behind.
Also looking at doing the Pirelli logos for all the different compounds

That sounds good to me BP. I'm down for a set of each.

Check out the body I did for the X1. It's no Red Bull car...but I was going for a something a little different. I still have to trim it out for the X1 rear suspension (like RTypeC's) then it's done.
