Finished. Read all 183 pages. Very informative. Bought my first F1 , an F109, and I absolutely love it. Got my second one yesterday. Have a lot of interest in F1 at our track since I first put the F109 on the carpet. We have 4 guys already with F1s and are working on starting a class. Probably goin with the UF1 rules. We love it!

I know this is early but...... if you have some pics from the race yesterday, or the Shelf Queen Parade, I'd love to see them.

You guys are lucky out on the west coast, not as big of a following for F1 on this side.

just built my f104 and my lipo battery wont fit between the pivoting electronic trays. The battery fits with no electronic trays and just the posts, but wear do i mount the esc and receiver then. ALso i need a battery that has the wires coming the opposite upper corners, mine the both come from the same spot so i cant get it under the upper chassis. Any remedies or examples of what you guys use or how you have arrange your electronics

thanks a bunch

Need to shave down the inside of the trays loops on the inside, right up against the posts almost like a C and you can also loosen all of the upper deck screws to allow extra play to wiggle the battery into it's spot.
Should be able to easily figure the best spot for the wires to hang out, loosening the screws helps a lot.
Hold the chassis flat on the table when tightening the screws back up to keep the car squared up and not tweeked.

I have a 4700kv mamba max pro but i feel like it would be absolutly uncontrollable Haha. what do you guys think would be a good combo?

I ran a 17.5T SpeedPassion in my F104W and it ran fine - as long as you can get rear traction.

I had to install the soft T-bar, the TRF damper with red spring and 400 oil. I would suggest that you make sure you get a sensored motor/ESC. The SpeedPassion I have cogs a bit and the delay is annoying @ startup. The top end is good and run times are still decent.

I thought like 2 pages back people were saying the speedpassions are no good? What about novak dont they make like 20 and higher turn brushless motors?

it was a sensorless motor, that just happened to be a speedpassion...

the sensored motors are very good - heck Mark Rheinhard has used them for the last 3 World TC Championships

Can anyone tell me which TRG front wing works best with the Protoform McLaren?

The TRG regular or the advance wing will work. Just cut body post hole to match.
