The wings are very vulnerable in F1 and the open wheel makes the suspension vulnerable so you will find most clubs run F1 as a slower motor class. Silver can or Sport Tuned black can were very popular F1 classes for a long time.

its not as slow as you'd think - remember F104's are not as heavy as TC, so they got less to move....

a decently geared blinky 21.5 is very quick - i'd guess-timate on par with a blinky 17.5 TC

Heres my 3Racing F109. I had originally painted it solid white, but I couldnt resist doing some more. So the red is on the outside, but it ll do for now.

thanks.. i guess ill go with a 21.5 and have the silver can as my back up. There is talks of starting an f1 class locally here but we dont have solidified track yet so i dont know what rules we will be running yet but i want to my 104 sooner rather than later

thanks for the advice

that lotus is ridiculous great site bp btw

I suggest that if you start running F1s that you let anyone that has one run anything they have, just get em on the track.
The fast motor guys will most likely struggle and if they don't then they are probably very into their F1 and will gladly change to whatever is agreed upon as being fair.
Just get em to the track first.

Too many rules and shat keep onroad guys from running anything.

RCGT this and that, spokes only, X motor only, boost/no boost, no TC bodies, no slicks ...

F1 foam, rubber, silvercan, modern, vintage etc., run em all let time sort em out
