Hi,
I got some slick tires with used 3racing F109, but I don't seem to be able to find them anywhere.
They are marked as Tamiya Type A and B tires (they are wide F103 ones). Anyone knows who makes/sells them?

Sounds like the old Tamiya f103 rubbers to me.
No longer made as far as I know.

I have heard as well that they aren't available, but a lot of the fast guys at the local track are running old Type A rear tires.

The 103 is coming back out.
I would think the option parts would be next.
This will be good for you/us 109 folks.

What are the chances of them feeding us the good rubber for these cars?

As it stands now, the Wolf can race TCS but only with the kit tires.

Hi,

I want to replace my kit spur with one of the TRF415. The TRF spurs have more holes for diff. balls. Do I have to fill up all holes? Is it better to have moreor less balls in the diff? I wonder if the Hop-Up Diff. Balls 42142 work significantly better than the kit ones.

Questions and questions. I hope you could help me!

Greets

More diff balls is always better...it takes less pressure to achieve the same amount of friction between the diff balls and the diff rings so you are able to have a smoother diff even if it is set tighter. You may need a gear adapter though if you don't have one already. I'm not sure what type of gear the 415 uses but my guess would be it uses a normal spur gear which has a smaller center hole and the stock bearing will not fit in.

Who knows, but my first thought is that the smaller rear tire will be better with less sidewall flex...

My dealer in Germany has the original adaptor for spurs available. I've already bought one and hope that a TRF spur will fit on that.

Most companies make the inner diameter a standerd size. The TRF spurs will fit the standerd size bearings. I also like Tamiya's TRF spurs, because they're fatter.

Well that is certainly an adapter...but not likely the original. The earliest one I can remember was the one made by Dan's RC back in the F101/F102 days.

But really even better than that was the Kimbro gears that were reamed out to take the stock metric bearing. Once you got a good one they were great...problem is only about 1 out of every 3 or so were round.
