I use the Yeah racing one piece motor pod is nicely made and you have to use the rear holes that are for the f104 set-up front holes are for F103-gt

Already on order my friend.
Just wanted to mock it up and snap a few pics.

Thinking about dropping the 109 front and running
my super rare hpi sf1 setup (what a nice front end that was...wish hpi would re-pop the parts.)

There is a chance but it wouldnt be sold by HPI. Cross has the HPI wing molds so they might be able to get the suspension arm molds. The Advance wings Cross/TRG are the HPI wings, minus the HPI wing mount.

Well yesterday was the first race in this series 22 foam tire racers. Also had 4 rubber tire guys that had their own class. They are really working to get the rubber numbers up,and alot of the regular foam guys are starting to show some interest in this class There was a pretty good mix of F-103 and F-104s in the foam class but by far more 103 numbers, they just seem to work better. The Ground Pounders really put of a nice race with 142 total sign ups for the day, thanks to them for letting us start this series off with them. Next weekend is Round 2 at Ripon a night race hope to see alot of you Nor-Cal people show up that this one also. Thanks Bill

That would be sweet if they could put some stiffer plastic in the mold when they do it

My hpi front has the 10 year+ baked in goodness
Stiff-yes Brittle-YES
Want to talk flexi-flyer check out the 109 plastic.
I think Duratrax makes it for them...

Hpi was a great front end.Light years ahead of the 103 front. Works better with orings in the bottom too.
It's tops on my "why don't they make that anymore" list.

I can only hope cross really has the tooling and is keeping an eye on the
f1 wave rolling back in.

In other HPI news, the F10 foam tire axle fits the Super F1 perfectly, width looks correct as well.

Let the vintage HPI assault commence

That car overall was a great ride.

I had the chance to pick one up early this year
but drug my feet on it and it sold
Fear of breaking that front end has me sticking with the 109 front for now.

Let me know how it looks with the new axle/rims mounted (post us a pic).

Funny on how all the older manufactures cars are faster..(ie.f103)

Think that new Top f1 car is coming soon.
I plan on running Franken 107
until then.

Any information on this as Top is basically an unkown company here in Japan. Only people serious about touring cars know about them and very few people
run Top here. They havent even been in any RC magazines here in a very very long time. I allways get the "What the hell are you talking about" look when i bring up Top in conversation.

Hi guys---
I've got a 3 racing F109-- I need to find the small side "tweak" springs for it. Everyone I"ve tried--including 3 racing is out of them!! Anyone know where I can find those springs--or a reasonable substitute?? Their larger than the Associated or CRC 1/12 springs---larger barrel and taller.
HELP!!!!
Thanks
Tim
I may have found them--at RC Mushroom in China---I'll let ya know if they arrive in case anyone else is looking.
