Hey guys, I was thinking of getting the exotek F103 conversion but wanted to make sure F103 bodies fit. Tamiya F1 bodies arent cheap and I have 2 new ones for the F103 and getting the conversion instead of the F104 V2 would keep my Ligier Mugen bodies good to go!

As a frame of reference, Tamiya (and other) bodies that have multi-piece sidepods don't fit link cars without significant cutting to the sidepods. F103 wheelbase is somewhere around 10-15mm shorter than an F104 (I'm sure someone will correct that number for me).

F103 bodies were designed quite wide to accommodate the sideways mounting of full size battery packs back in the day. So these bodies should fit quite nicely over the side links of an F103 conversion

Hey Guys
I've got a 2016 Xray X1 that I don't race, but have at work for screwing around. I can't get any traction on the floor here (concrete) with Pit tires, does anyone make something that might have a little bit more grip?

Hey mike, quick question, will the f1r3 alloy chassis accommodate f1r2 parts? If not a 'plug n play' situation, what (if anything) needs to be massaged into place? Thanks in advance, Rooster Reagan-Nashville TN

F1r2 was an inline narrow chassis and F1r3 is the wide sideways battery chassis so off the top of my head you would need the carbon rear pod and small parts plates package along with the F1r3 alloy chassis. The remaining alloy parts are pretty much the same between the two.

The older bodies fit well on the new chassis, I can show you a 1989 Ferrari body on a moecern Tamiya chassis, the TRF101
