Manny you made one of my dreams come true Thank you. check it off my bucket list.

So I went out to the local schools outdoor Tennis court (NEW) and ran the car and did some hot laps as well, changing gearing was the only thing to do, this is my first Lipo car ever, brushless takes it to another level, I could not get over the length of run time you get for this setup! Wow,
Now the car handled great! I have no clue where I got the idea to put in a 21.5 turn motor, Rules somewhere I guess. The car feels like it needs more speed! 17.5 or maybe a 13.5 if your track could handle them. Fact is I feel if I took out my GT7 esc and stock 27turn motor it might be faster!

Sounds great Marty! Did you take any pictures?

I'm going to be ordering one of the VF1 packages from Brad this weekend probably. Plus the HPI vintage tires and wheels from the local hobby shop. Going to use the F103GT front suspension arms and front and rear axles and parts to mount the HPI VTA wheels. Yeah Racing sells a front upright kit that allows you to adjust the front camber; going to get that too. And of course, I have a very special VF1 body that I'm purchasing from someone to put on it.

I couldn't find any gold wheels like these "" so I'm going to paint a set of plain black f104 foam wheels instead.

What type of paint should I use and does anyone have any experience with this? I'm thinking to scuff them with a scotch-brite pad then use krylon plastic fusion paint as a primer then tamiya spec model paint as the final coat or is that a little overkill?

It's overkill. I did some gold rims last year with Tamiya model paint. The only prep I did was to wash the rims with soap & water. The paint never flaked off or scratched up. I still use them and the rims look great, it's too bad one of the rear tires blewout the entire sidewall. Kind of fitting I had Pirelli decals on them.

Who is the TRG distributor in the US? I'd like a set of these gold wheels, but I wonder about shipping from China/Japan/etc.

I'm in the US so I try to only get stuff from US shops that ships from US warehouses, just a personal preference.

Reflex Racing carries some TRG items, but last time I looked they were out of the gold wheels.

Looks like Reflex has the black ones in stock. I'll put my name on the list for gold ones, too.
Thanks, Serzoni.

Are the TRG rims the same off-set as the Tamiya rims?

I didn't even notice the overspray until I layed down the red Thanks for the compliments, here is the final product!

One question I have is how do you keep the front of the battery in position when using a shorty pack? My shorty wiggles side to side a little bit and it is not quite secured in place.
