A few decals might not be true to the absolute purist, and there's a few missing, but it looks pretty good to me. Tell you what, getting a hobby knife in that nose cone to cut the liquid mask for the red/white stripes was a pain. Might go decals on the outside next time.

Complete shots to follow
Carl does fine work. He also has expanded his line up as well....

Hey guys, i need your help.
There will be a new F1 class near my place, and all i am missing is a body set. I'm a Ferrari guy, but i am torn between which body to use.

I have a Tamiya F104v2 pro black edition.

For a body, i have the 3Racing F109 body shell i haven't painted, but i am looking at the F60 vs F2012 vs f104 bodysets

How do they handle differently?

Hi yep me again, so I have been away for a few years so I have some Question for all of you:

#1 What is a blinky ESC.
#2 How or what is the difference between a 30amp 60amp 120amp ESC.
#3 What are the best tires to buy for UF1 and practice runs.
#4 Why are there so many F104's, and are they all raced at the TCS events, and are they all ok to race in the UF1 series? I think this is the only series running here where I am.

I will be running the SP-1 F1 and a F104 PRO V.2 The SP-1 F1 I will order tonight from Brad and next week the F104 after I figure out witch to buy.

definition of insanity = me trying to get back into racing.

Thanks.

#1 What is a blinky ESC.-- mode on the speedo to show no timing is added.

#2 How or what is the difference between a 30amp 60amp 120amp ESC. Not a lot mainly motor limitation... Look for a club Spec speedo usually around $60ish

#3 What are the best tires to buy for UF1 and practice runs. -- preference TCS Pit shimizu (same as pit 571/2) are what the "they committee" all say is the fastest. I have Sweeps and Pardus to test along side the TCS tire to see what works out here.

Mainly because its what's been available.... The new SP-1 will be going head to gead with my V2 next weekend and through our asphalt series and you get all the hop ups you want for the v2 included at that price...

I will be running the SP-1 F1 and a F104 PRO V.2 The SP-1 F1 I will order tonight from Brad and next week the F104 after I figure out witch to buy. Buy a v2 but plan to add some $$$ see above...

Looks great. Good to see another 'less common' livery. How did you go with your sponsors? Michelin sponsorship, running Bridgestone tires

Too many stickers. Should have used the Michelin tire stickers. Thanks for noticing!

I would go with the F60. I have both the F60 and the 2012 and I love the look of the 2012, but the front wing sucks. It sits so low that it tends to drag on the carpet and when you tap a board it bends down and gets worse to the point of making the car push. The F60 front wing tends to bend up if you tap a board and will not affect anything. I felt that the 2012 front wing totally upset the handling of my car. It has so much more down force that it made the car totally unbalanced. I am sure you can adjust for that, but with the front wing being such an issue with dragging I just tossed the F60 back on and the car was great again. If they figure out a fix for the 2012 wing it would be a killer body set. So my pick from now ones the F60.

I agree. The new bodies are cool because the are from the just last F1 season. And I have bought three sets.
However, the front wing keeps dragging. I posted the wire reinforcement past week and today at the track it proved me that was not the answer.
When I tapped the wall the wing and the wire bent up and the wire could not hold the wing up in the bent position so it flipped over and pointed downward. Now the wire was dragging. I had to pull over and straighten out the wire.
Don't buy the new f2012 bodies. They are not as functional as f60 body set.

What I will do is to use the f60 front wing and mate it to f2012 nose piece so I can keep using the f2012 body with functional f60 wings. I happen to have 4 f60 wings!
