I think it is the same body. It came with arms, legs, head, body and steering wheel.
The face really resembles Dan Gurney, but there are limits to everything. I am sure I will damage the head on my first outing, losing visor and goggle, scratching the face and so on. So no need to do surgery and change the face to Jim Clark.

But for everyone who makes an Eagle F1 car this driverhead will be perfect!

Hey guys, i found out that there will be a F1 class near when i live, i'm excited! There hasn't been one in more than 12 years! I just had to get in on it, so i bought a F104v2 Pro Dark Titanium car.

I'm a touring car guy, so i need help, how do i work on the setup? lol Dumb question, but how can i tune it, etc, is there anywhere i can read about them on how to set them up??

Were starting up an F1 class out here and I have an old HPI and some Tamiya cars, but I dont want to trash em. What are your thoughts on the newer HPI Formula 10 kits? they look well made.

I'd be buying a Tamiya or even the 3racing kit. Had a look at the HPI F10 as a friend had one and its quality was not that great. You get what you pay for.

I was looking at white silk. Everything else seams to be woven too thick. I will hit the local crafts store, they have given me free samples before.

Finished the 1978 Lotus and I found a 1978 Ferrari 312t3 which is on its way. Ready for some 1970s F1 racing action. I'll probably get the Wolf also, while it is still available. I just ordered these SOFT rears to help with the oversteer. http://www.rcmart.com/shimizu-racing...l?cPath=35_958

F1Ultra guys... few quesitons

1.) Battery inline or lateral?

2.) Best rubber tire combo for carpet?

3.) Have you run it on foams? How did it work? Which tires did you use?

Hopefully the front is not wider than the rear. What was involved in adapting the front uprights and hubs to these Tech arms? If you can change the angle to make the arms go up, that would be cool!

One last question for now: What width are your HPI VTA wheels/tires? Are you using the actual 31mm wide wheels? They make 26mm for the front and 31mm for the rear; can't tell from your pictures whether your rears are wider than your fronts.
Sorry to not get back to you sooner, I actually got to race this weekend VTA & TC!!
With the GFX conversion to use the VTA stuff the F103, F109, and the Tech arms all come out at ~188mm, as close as I can measure. Rear is the same, I could widen or narrow the front a few mm with different hexes, I'm still using the 3R brake disks on the front. I think I can cut off a few mm of the upper a-arm where the two 4mm screws go thru and them bend the arms up which might give me a little camber too.

Yes I'm using standard VTA 26 and 31 mm front and rear wheels, tires.

What's a "F1Ultra"? Is that a conversion for the F103?

that's a great effort.

can I ask what paint you used on the mirrors etc. I know the instructions say to use the PS60 spray, but when I used that paint on the plastic it went a dull red, not bright red.
