The FQ uses tri-shocks but not cantilever mounted.
I made the lower arms but the rest are FGX parts, my intention was to adapt the 3R IFS front but they are taking forever to release it
F1 market isnt very big so i wont produce it but can custom make the conversion kit if someone really wants one. Testing is going well its getting better.

I was able to get the decals on tonight. Might not leave the Novak one on there. It fit the wing and looked nice, but its definitely not scale. I'll likely put the Canadian flags instead and follow the normal layout. I still have to paint the driver and install the ESC and RX. And the front wing sides too.

Of course, the next question is who sells the TRG F1 bumpers here in the States?

Evo might have a source. I will call Christian tomorrow.
I sent these guys an email too. $8.60 EU. Just don't know what shipping/timeframe would be.

Jeez...that TRG makes the Lotus look a hell of a lot better. There's your answer Indy. www.reflexracing.net. Give Christian a yell and he either has it available or can get it from TRG.

Finished a complete cleanup of the wiring for my f104 pro. Installed the lipo conversion install, goin from a 2600 15c pack to one of my 65-130c 6500 packs! Also put shimizu tires installed. Can't wait to see how much quicker it is!

Sakura FGX review, build and setup tips here.
Is it a good car? Yes. My daughter raced using F103, F104, F104W. Now she will finish the F1 season using the FGX.
Been running it box stock, no hop ups. Have not broken a single part (knock on wood), for several months now.

Tamiya are a very high volume producer, so each mould for their machines costs tens of thousands of dollars to make and parts costs are very low, but if you are making limited runs like the retro f1s then you have to spread the cost of the mould over a relatively small number of kits which by the time it reaches the shops it adds quite a bit to the price.
TRG are more specialist and make smaller runs of parts, so mould costs are much cheaper and they can afford to produce parts that sell in small numbers, like these bumpers.

First thing I would suggest is to make sure the FGX is race legal at your club. No point buying it to race if only solid axles are allowed.

How tight should the differential be in the back on a Tamiya? Easy to turn or a lot of friction? That's the adjustment done with the wheel nut on the right side rear.
