Luosi, is that a FGX body underneath that beautiful Red Bull scheme you did? If so, that is the best looking FGX body I have seen yet. I generally don't like the FGX body as much as the Tamiya F1 bodies, but yours is nice!

Anybody have a chassis for this full-sized McLaren F1 kit?

It depends on the body style for rear wing. I run the TRG Advanced rear wing on my F103 with a Tamiya front wing and TRG M91 body (MP 4/7). The rear wings hold up well, but not the TRG fronts. I tore up 5 of the TRG Advance front wings and shelved my favorite body for over year. I picked up 4 for the McLaren front wings when Tamiya did the reissue last year. Haven't ruined one yet.

Front wings depend on balance. Currently using Tamiya McLaren MP4/6, Tamiya Sauber or TRG standard, which are all very similar in design.

Hey Oscar,
Welcome back to the F1 scene
What you can try is the CRC Shorty lipo pack.
It is 4200MAH and fits perfectly under the topdeck.
It is 96MM wide.
Reedy has them also as has Losi.
Reedy is i believe 4000MAH and the Losi is 3800MAH.
Enough for you to play with if you use the silvercan motor.
regards Roy

Wanted to share some pics of my f1. This is my first f1 body in over 15 years. It is a tamiya f104 body with the tamiya decals mounted on a fgx with the rabbit conversion.

6376vette, your F60 body looks nice on the FGX chassis. I have noticed that everyone, including you, cuts away a section of the rear of the sidepod around the motor area; does the body not fit well in that area?

Even the stock fgx body must be trimmed for proper clearance.
