Has anyone ever modified a carbon drive shaft? I'm considering extending the flattened portion that the hub attaches to, and then a locating screw is tightened (flat section) and then affixed using the clamp.
The reason I am doing this can be read here... on pg 9 and 10

Any help would be hugely appreciated, I'm getting quite frustrated by this issue.

I need some help. I have a guy on my FB page that sent me a video of an old F102 with the Lotus Camel livery. OK here's the deal he has a 1:1 scale (that sounds stupid), he has a REAL Lotus 101 in Camel livery. And if that wasn't cool enough as it is he wants to build/buy an RC replica of it. Problem is I have heard that Tamiya never made a lotus 101 and the 102 bodies lines are too far off. Any suggestions for a Lotus 101? Talked to BP Shadow and he doesn't recall ever seeing one?

why you don't go for the easy road?
If the guy is willing to pay the proper amount, you can 3d print a proper front wing and custom Brad decals.
Otherwise this is a decent solution.
A bit of Lotus story...
The 101 was made by Frank Dernie, after loosing both... Honda and Ducarouge.
This means that Lotus rely on the V8 Judd, missing a lot of ponies from the V10 and V12....
The whole year was a PIA for the Team...
and in 1990 they made the Lotus 102 which was sporting a Lamborghini V12 (Senna test the motor and found it plenty of ponies) but the chassis was basically a 101 reshaped to carry the new motor.
Tamiya make the Lotus 102B, again... short in cash in 1991, Lotus use the V8 Judd...
Lotus test also an ISUZU motor on the Lotus 102C version (never race)
Finally, before the 107, they put a Ford HB V8, in the so called Lotus 102D

I just picked up this Gonzo body from Switzerland. GDP racing I think maybe part of Bitty Designs. Anyway its different and yet has a of of old and new school input. I dig it

Any body have any racing this weekend? I'm going to my track, and can be talked into racing. But I need that little push over the edge, where to do go from here? This one goes to 11? I wont be competitive but I can drive in traffic and shake more rust off me. I have to make the NATS.
