Why are we saving F1? Genuine question, not trolling.

save full size F1 by getting rid of the shit sounding v6 hybrids and return to NA 18,000 rpm V8s.

our track ,Thunder RC in Nashville,TN....has never really had a F1 class, we have tried over the years, but the only time it seems to get attention is for the USVTA Southern Nats.....but here lately I got a F6, and 2 other guys that had the Xray F1 started running, then 1 more added the Serpent, then another Serpent, that was 3 weeks ago....now this Sunday we might have as many as 8 at the track...

and Im expecting 3 full heats or better come the Southern Nats in Sept....I look forward to seeing it grow, as well as VTA....

It's been the same down here on the gulf coast. Over the past 2 years the F1 class has grown faster than any other class in both Missisippi and the Florida panhandle. Some weekends we have more F1s than touring cars. In Pensacola it's the second largest class behind VTA.

Probably because it's the closest rc racing class ever....Only about one second seperates the whole field, and the speeds are very reasonable....

I'm sorry I've been asleep and various stages of delirium this week. (Shoe GOO?)

F1 is a good size class at my local track, various other places its doing really well to. But it seems to be dying out in others or not catching on. Been hearing for years its just a fad (like Rock n Roll I guess) I think its a great class its my favorite, and call me a purist or an a hole but there are 2 RC classes to me RCF1 and then BS. I am kidding please don't MOAB me.

So maybe SAVE F1 was not the best choice of a phrase, but the spelling I could handle. I've been out for awhile, some of you know my health issue for past 6 months, I'm juts ready to race, I really want to see the class keep growing. More new people talking and asking about it. Getting interested, that means we keep getting new kits and such and all around just more frikkin fun. Sorry to confuse or whatever, but that is what I do. Maybe I should have said "Please Take us F1 Nerds Serious It is a Great Class and You Will Die Cold and Alone if You Do Not Give it a Shot". T shirt idea I got eternal DIBS!!!!

Generally, the minimum legal ride height for F1 is 3mm. Most people run their cars at 4mm or a little more.
