Thanks

I will only run clubraces, but I don't care paying a bit more for better quality
I currently have a Orion VST2 17.5t motor and its specs look impressive but on the track, I can't make it as fast as I'd like.

Do you think the Justock ESC could handle a such "powerful" motor (295W - 2600kv) without becoming too hot?

I don't know that motor well.
But I drove my 17.5 Trackstar motor without any problems with the ESC during the Benelux+ race. I even plasti dipped the ESC.
But I have to test soon on the indoor track here with 17.5 on foam. ( And Corally motor )
As soon as I know more information about the ESC, I can say for sure.

A 17.5t motor has a max of 28A -30A. Any speedo above 45A will handle this with no problem.
You can go for a HW juststock , i personnaly like the speed passion reventon S and the hobbywing xerun 3.1

Thanks guys!

I already have a V3.1 for my mod TC but I'm looking for an esc with a smaller footprint
I'll probably give a try to HW Justock or Reventon S

Regards,
G-rem

You can probebly use the same programmer box to instal the ESC as for your V3.1
I have also a hobbywing V2.1 for in my pro10 235mm. And I can use the same programm box.

I run the hobbywing stockspec in my F1, has much better throttle and brake feel than the justock I used to run, and lighter than the V3.1 I run in sedan.

For motor, Team powers, no question. R1 second

Looking at getting a new f1 chassis and need some feedback.
Currently running an F104W GP on foams and our track is very low grip and still find it oversteery and we had our southisland champs at the weekend and got well beaten by the out of towners and I did win my TC stock class so do know how to drive...anyway most were running the serpent, 3racing 113,speedpassion, and the guy who won with a VBC and what are everyones veiws on these cars compared to mine and do they have the rear grip i am looking for and always been a tamiya fan and should i look at the 101W?..I have run and owned the F104V2 and found it had more rear grip and was 180mm wide and would a 180 car be more suitable but all the others were running 200mm and also some were on foams and guy who won was on rubbers and advantages and disadvantages of both?..really confused...
Cheers.

Hi malcom im running a f104v2 here in chch and im always being beten by the same guys who came down for the south islands. I run on rubbers and 180mm wide. If I was going to buy it all again I would go for the serpent f110 run on foams and 200mm wide. The 3 racing seems ok but their are around 6 of them that run at club days but only one of them bets me but their are 5 or 6 serpents and they all bet me. Just one other thing were all still tring to bet mike jones and hes still running a 15 year old tamiya f103.

Hi Jamie,
I have come to the same conclusion that the serpent could be the way to go in 200 guise and have got pricing from Bev and need to make up my mind now if i really need it

The V2 should work great with a 200mm layout.
Just put on a F103 front suspension and use the wide F103 wheels.
What i did use at the front was F104 foam tires/wheels and Xceed F103 rear foam tires.
True down the front&rear tires, get the ride height at arround 4mm or lower and i bet you will be going faster then with your WGP.
The V2 is in my opinion the better choice for 200mm foam racing.

I am driving a Serpent F110 with F103 foams rear and F104 foams in the front. Front end also wide.
Drives very nice!
Also depends on that foam tyre you are using. :-)
