I did the same arrangement on my VBC as well. I hope it makes the car more consistent.

I discovered the StreetJam SJF01 two days ago and read a lot of positive comments about it. When looking closer I had problems understanding the rear pod suspension (even the manual didn't help at first ). Then I found a video of the rear pod moving and was instantly fascinated.
I couldn't help but trying to copy that mechanism for my "F104v2" (it is changed so much now it needs a new name). With all RC stuff, spares and cfk leftover I created this:

The pod movement is still impressive and supersmooth. Looks and feels like a big step forward. If it is? Sunday is the last F1 outdoor Clubrace of the season on our bumpy outdoor track. Then I will know

I am back from the race... And I f...ed it up

The conditions were slippery, the track was green from previous rain; it was cold with around 15*C. The pure speed was not that bad. I qualified third on a partly wet track. In the races I could conquer the lead and stay there for a short time before messing it up. The car was very very twitchy with the rear stepping out in fast sections.
As I already am the new clubchampion in the ETS-F1 class, I didn't do any tests before the qualifying. The problem was/is that the rear axle is dampened too much, not allowing fast movements of the pod. I try 200cst oil next time

I basically thought that before i read your post above. Separate dampers for wet? Instead of switching oil all the time?

On our medium grip carpet track, moving the battery rear helped shave .5 seconds off my fastest lap, and dropped my averages nearly the same.

Good to hear... I ran on a soda prepped asphalt track last weekend and the car felt much better but still hard to get the rear planted under power. I will be running my new WTF1 next time out. I noticed that the springs on the CRC kit are way softer than the softest springs for the VBC. Perhaps the car is just too stiff for asphalt and therefore tough to get the power down.

I think this gentlman has ordered from them. You should shoot him a note, I'd ask about the quality as well.

I think I've seen them sell decal sheets on ebay or clear bodies/decal sheet combo.
