Has anyone tried the new VBC Lightning with the VBC Flash 04 Front end?

Can you mount the hole TRF101W front end on the TRF101 chassis?

Any idea what the actual pricing will be?... I saw a pre-order price on Tower and, frankly, if it ends up retailing for that much its a massive rip-off, Tamiya or not

Happy to help but you have given no information. What car? Tyres? Motor? What don't you know about and what problems are you having?

Take your choice of F1 car off the shelf, charge the battery and have fun. Of course I don't know if your local track has opened back up, so racing may be out of the question.

Hi All,

Our popular +3 black wheels are finally back in stock! All wheels now have reinforced thicker spokes as requested

@Marklas; yes it looks like it has the same bolt pattern. I put a blank lower deck up to the bottom of the new 101w and the same 6 screws line up.

@ShadowAu; I honestly have no idea what Tower will be charging for this kit. I received mine as a gift from overseas. From what I know about Tower Hobbies, they typically show a higher price on new items they haven’t stocked before. Once they go live on their website the price tends to drop…a little.

@mxrich; wait…what? You’re new? Did you inherit that name from somebody else cause I remember another guy from way back when…

It's Tamiya, their stuff is always ridiculously overpriced.

On top of that I don't see what makes this car so good. T-Plates are the absolute worst system I've ever seen on an on-road car. It sucked when Bo-Link flooded the market with the so-called best on-road cars in all of RC. Their cars were glued to the track so long as you soaked the foam tires in Orange Peel tire additive and baked them in the sun for a half hour or so. Rubber tires weren't introduced just yet so this was it. We used to smoke those On-Road cars with our lowered 1/10 buggies.

If it's a static mounted axle, same difference. It can only slide, twist and torque which blows.

On a track with a poor surface yes a buggy can beat a pan car easily. On a track with good grip...it is quite the opposite. The extra drag in the transmission coupled with the extra weight of the buggy negates any advantage an independent suspension gives. We see this in F1 now with the FGX vs a pan style F1 car. On the not so good tracks the FGX does quite well but on a well prepped track it has a hard time keeping up.

Well I smoked pan cars on all types of surfaces and they couldn't keep up. I ran their exact same bolink foam slicks with the same tire sauce and ran a big bus's rear wing.

Then the drivers suck, whats your point. And why are we even comparing a Bolink with modern F1 RC cars...

FGX has a huge disadvantage at our local track which is a relatively smooth surface.
